If one player is replaced by the x-factor player and does not play at all, e.g. Guthrie replaced by Wildermouth, does that player score "0" or is the sub's score taken?

I had a floating non-playing player I could use as either a bat or bowl. When Guthrie got subbed out I traded in Abbot rather than a bat.
Now my sub score, Renshaw, has been removed!

Because Heat batted first, Guthrie never got involved in the game and is a DNP.

If they'd bowled first he would have scored regardless of whether he bowled or not.

So Renshaw's score will count? If I understand you correctly.
Thanks.

The official "Rules" aren't too clear:
"Players who are actually named and in the starting 11 for any match AND score a 0 for any reason, will NOT be replaced by an emergency."
I suppose playing no part in a match isn't counting as "scoring" a zero.

And now Renshaw's score is back! :)(y)
