There's always been plenty of talk about grade cricket being rubbish in SA, too many teams leading to a lower standard across the board. Years of discussion of clubs being cut or merged but they all have a long storied history in the game, so nothing ever happens and we stay ****. Rinse and repeat.
Thinking about it, it wasn't clear if it included guys like Evans who are nowhere near a squad, because it seemed to be related to the upcoming WI series. But the players we're interested in will be affected either way, the likes of Garton, Billings and Mills...
