KFC SuperCoach 2022: The Phantom’s early rookie bible

Braydon Preuss (GWS) $204,700
If you were interested last year at $303k, after he joined the Giants looking for more opportunity, during the trade period, Preuss should be high on your radar at a heavily discounted price in 2022. He didn’t play a game due to injury last season but the cheap R2 strategy could be back on. Remember, in the three games he played without Max Gawn at the Demons, Preuss posted scores of 84, 85 and 140. And in his two at North Melbourne without Todd Goldstein, he scored 111 and an injury-affected 39.

What are people’s thoughts on Sean Darcy?

Can he go 120-130 avg?
I think he can - his finish to last season was insane (round 23, aggravated knee issue again so shutdown early that game) :-

Some absolute monster scores there, averaged 118 overall, with only 3 scores below 90 for the season.

Having a great preseason :-

Sean Darcy is set for a big season, he has come back to pre-season & is in the best shape of his career according to Ryan Daniels (7 News Perth).

“He looks magnificent,”

“He looks easily in the best shape of his career.” Daniels said.

Darcy has acknowledged his off-season workout program is a crucial element to his success.

“It’s a really good sign that he cares that much about getting in the right shape,”

“His ceiling is massive.” Daniels added.

Well this is very interesting.

Is Ryan Daniels the Perth journo with good credibility?

I feel like it’s either him, or someone with a similar name, that I recall from last season.

Just adding to this, photo from Freo training confirms Darcy looks in terrific nick, bandage on knee precautionary I believe:-

I am going with Darcy as R1 and no Gawn or Grundy. He is part of my Captain loop strategy that sees me also lock in Macrae and Steele. The WB play a lot of early games in the first part of the season and that fits in with Freo/St K playing at the end of the round. I wanted three big hitters to choose from scoring wise for VC/C and they offer it up nicely.
