Well Clarke did not bat on at start of play and South Africa got bowled out cheaper that I expected.
287 all out.
Clarke not enforcing the follow on.
207 lead with probably 5 or 6 overs before stumps.

Johnson got 4 for 42 and Harris 3 for 63

Amazing, can we really win this series with two days to go ?

Well that is stumps for the day.

Warner on 25 hitting boundaries as is his want. Morkel 0 for 24 off his 3 overs.
We are 0 for 27 and lead by 234 runs with two days to go in this final Test of this series and our cricket summer.
Nice!

Graeme Smith retires...

South Africa skipper calls stumps on a record-breaking career after disappointing series with the bat against Australia

South Africa captain Graeme Smith has announced his retirement, drawing stumps on a record-breaking career that will end after this current Test against Australia.

"This has been the most difficult decision I have ever had to make in my life," Smith said. "It's a decision that I have been considering since my ankle surgery in April last year. I have a young family to consider, and I felt that retiring at Newlands would be the best way to end it because I have called this place home since I was 18 years old.

"I have always been someone who has left everything out there on the field for my team and for my country. I'm extremely honoured and proud to have had the privilege to lead so many wonderful players and to have been a part of building the Proteas culture to what it is today. It is a culture that every player can be, and is, immensely proud of."

Lunch on day 4...

Lunch on day 4 at Cape Town. The lead is 387!
Warner slowed down in that last hour, was very weird but his still on 92 (111)
Doolan going slower then a donkey at the moment 36 (83) hopefully Lehman gives him the hurry on after lunch because he did not look happy how he was going about it. Still the Aussies are totally in control.

Thought we'd have it with Faf out before tea....

Jimmy Pattinson has been so stiff. He's had TWO balls that have missed the stumps by less than a cm (yes, legit measured by hawkeye)

Great to see the boys get the win!
When I went to bed it seemed like ABD and Faf were going to do it all again and grit out a draw!
