What changed for Touk last year? Was there a change in coaching personnel at the Suns? Did someone else take over the run with role? Did the new rules help him?
Also, on the new rules, did we see an end of year review from anyone? AFL, Herald Sun, Supercoach addict? Stoppages, hitouts, tackles, kicks etc.
He seemed to just be getting even better as a hard runner and more tenacious, his work rate is just insane and he's a hyper competitive guy. Also once Greenwood went out his scoring went ballistic, Rowell and Anderson might elevate their game this year which might impact him negatively compared to that finish. He's also down for being tagged 5 times on Fanfooty but given he scored even better in these games than average I suspect they were loose tags or ones they gave up on early after they didn't work off the bat.

I think teams will go after him more and commit to tagging him more and whilst he is built to be able to handle tags relatively well (good outside and inside, hard runner and a ferocious tackler) it will still impact him somewhat in all likelihood. There’s also always a chance of regression after a decent rise in scoring

Like Steele before him and Serong to come, he stopped tagging a few rounds into the season and was let loose.

Do you think serong jumps up to a 105ave?
If he averages 105 he's still a bit of a neutral pick. Not making enough quick cash to upgrade and not keeping up with the big boys scoring. Even though we end up with a lot of neutral picks we shouldn't be planning for them. The one thing in his favour is the last of the byes so you can slingshot him.

Hey folks,

My latest attempt. I keep alternating between pure GnR and a blend.

Breakdown includes:

6 expected highest scorers for the year: Macrae Steele Oliver Walsh in the mids, and Gawn Grundy in the ruck. Excessive captaincy options
8 expected keepers with best valuer per position: Daniel, Whitfield, Sicily, Neale, Heeney, Butters, Gresham, Coniglio
6 best value of all non-rookies, 2 being expected keepers listed above: Gresham, Coniglio; and a further 4 that will need an upgrade: Milera, Rowell, Berry, Brodie
1 high priced rookie only: Daicos
3 other cheap rookies on field

A switch to almost pure GnR would involve Rowell, Berry and Brodie becoming a JKelly type + 2 cheap rookies.

I like where this is going as I think the balance of mid-pricer/rookie spend vs premiums this year is going to be crucial.

That said, the bench is too thin - 5 $102k players is too many to be realistic isn't it? You've given an option to go more GnR and I think you should take it, but for a FWD premo instead of another mid: Rowell/Gresh/Brodie for a top line forward (Dunkley/Duncan/Taranto) plus rookies and cash to fix the bench 😉

That would feel like it shores up your side bit more.

His last three games suggests he can get the ball, picking up more than 30 possessions 3x +105SC. It is not about his CBA's as the correlation earlier in the season was mixed. Question is will he have the right role through the season.

Eye test is he is a small player, yet same height weight as Touk Miller. Junior days was a ball magnet to, MVP for Victorian Country team in the U18 champs. Has the potential, will he have the consistency in his third year. For Fantasy you could risk it, dont think you could in SC.

Agree with Freowho, think you need more than 105, 110 gives your $150k and a keeper. Those sort of picks need to be Fwd/Def where you are not punished as much. Yet, the amount of times a $400k def has not paid off is high. Better the type which only needs 15 points upside, Walsh or FWDS in Dunkley, Kelly in recent years.
