I have no idea what the Hawks bigs were trying or instructed to do on offense last night, Both were horrible. At least one of them gets to be defended by DJ next game so that will be a bonus. Hopefully it is Froling.

Looks like Reath is in trouble. Looks like maybe a rib or his back. If it's long term Harry Froling will be a cheap option.

No doubt but if Reath is out he will get a fair bit of burn and is cheap with a good draw. Thing is I also cant see the Hawks being able to play two bigs at the same time against Perth next game. Looking at their draw in the next 5 games every matchup has a stretch mobile 4 which is a bit of a soft spot in the Hawks D.

I reckon a CRN v BRI game might be added to next weeks fixture on the Monday 31st Jan.

I think there is two BRI v CRN games that need to be made up, Both teams play this coming Saturday so could easily play on the Monday as well, and both are in QLD meaning minimal travel... It makes sense to add that game to the fixture and get one of the CRN games out of the way.

Missing Snakes

The Cairns Taipans will enter tonight’s game against the South East Melbourne Phoenix shorthanded.

Star guard Scott Machado is still recovering from a heel injury and won’t play. Mirko Djeric (calf) and Kouat Noi (precautionary) will also be out.

In better news, Tahjere McCall is healthy and will play, while replacement player Marshall Nelson has travelled with the squad.
