You can take more of a risk with players coming back from injuries and mid priced players.
Thats also what i am thinking. Time to do some tinkering. I am Starting with Jake Bowey from the Melbourne FC. Can any Demons Members give the forum the Update on his prospect this year. Looked comfortable with the pace of the game season 2021.

Dream come true scenario for the Lad. Premiership with a few games played.

Does the Lad hold his place for RD1.? And Then can he improve to a 75+ to his bye round.?

I am also hearing players field designation can also change during the year. Players may become DPP at certain times during the season.

Any truth to this rumor.?

Could have significant changes to the FWD Line. Thinking Danger and Zorko.?
I hope this doesn't happen

Here it is again for anybody who missed it in the HS Supercoach articles thread.

KFC SUPERCOACH GAME CHANGES FOR 2022

TRADE BOOST

– Every coach now has 35 trades over 23 rounds with a maximum of two per round and three during the byes (Rounds 12-14), unless you use a ...

– New trade boost! Up to five trade boosts can be used in any round to gain an extra trade for that round, up to a maximum of three per round or four during the byes. These bonus trades come out of your total of 35, and you can choose to use some, all or none of your five available trade boosts.

PLAYER POSITION UPDATES

At regular intervals during the season Champion Data will reassess player positions and assign dual-position status to players if their on-field role changes. For example, in 2021 Jack Ziebell was listed as a forward in KFC SuperCoach but spent the entire season at full-back – under the new rule he could become a FWD-DEF player mid-season.

TRADE UPDATE

Change your trade plans during a round? Now you have ultimate flexibility to adjust your moves after lockout – providing the players involved aren’t locked out and don’t bust your salary cap.

Really think 35 trades is overkill we used to play fantasy competitions with 20 but its the same for everyone so isn't a big deal, all the other changes are logical and really should have always been in the game.

As long as they don't keep adding "covid trades" throughout the year I think it's a good balance to provide some cover. I'll be annoyed if they add more though as it'll just reward anyone who burns the bonus 5 straight away..

The player position updates is something that Ultimate Footy have been doing for years and is a welcome change to salary formats.

For those unfamiliar, it is worth noting that UF traditionally take an extremely conservative approach when allocating new positions - last season most additions were given MID status (which flexibility aside, was pretty useless!).

Will be interesting to see how lenient SC are… As it’s a new shiny feature, I suspect several “speculative” additions will be made early on (think Danger/Fyfe types added FWD).

SC position additions with be based off the CD statistics for actual time spent playing across the various lines. So will be the same as those that get the added position in AFL Fantasy, and not subjective additions based of eye test(?) / heat maps(?) that it sounds like they might do in UF based of your description above.
