$224k, getting fooled isn't going to hurt too much
This price range is going to be interesting. For me I've never been a fan of that $200k - $300k price bracket, the cash generation can be a real struggle against some of the <$125k rookies but it's finding the playing guys that can score in that price range.

Taking too many of Brodie, Daicos, Constable, Curnow, JHF, Coleman, Rayner, Ward, Rachele, Caldwell and Berry will take a premium starting pick from your squad so it'll be a balancing act to find the right combination. Currently running 4 here with some reservations about that but at least it gives me coin to play with should cheaper rookies become available.

What was he priced at last season? Obviously there's not much risk at 224k, my issue is mostly that he's played 24 games in total over 5 seasons. Last year he got some good press running big PBs in time trials etc and then continued to look like he wasn't up to the standard. I'm not a huge fan of Dew as a coach, but in Brodie's case I'm fairly sure Dew got it right.

Is Jack Williams likely to play every week at this stage?
I doubt he plays this year at all unless NN & Bailey Williams get injured along with Luke Strnadica, who was training with the team until recently (got injured) & was likely to added to the squad pending how seriousness of the injury - they would all be ahead of Jack Williams who is very raw & needs a few preseasons for his body to be AFL ready I think.

Started at a very ugly $345k last year. Agree, his games record isn't glowing.

Don't forget Cogs as well!

100% agree. I have 4 at the moment as well and don't love it but may have to stay that way until the cheaper rookies show themselves. Starting teams will be fascinating this year.

Couldn’t copy the article on my phone for some reason, but Tom Harley quoted as stating that Heeney has had a full preseason and will spend “significant minutes” in the midfield.

Edit: here we go!

Going to be hard not to pick Heeney at that price if the role eventuates and if no injuries prior to round 1.

Yeah I didn't include Cogs as he's likely to be a keeper in the forwards or close to (y)

Brodie went out of my side the second he was trailing ****ing Sean Darcy in a time trial, thats just pathetic really for a guy with that much time in the system and tells me he wont cover the ground well enough to be an AFL midfielder and he cant play anywhere else, beating up on a B side full of kids doesnt mean much.

Oscar Allen ($346,300 - priced at 63.6)
I can't help feeling that he has the ability to score well in excess of his salary.
My impression is that he had an unsettled/topsy-turvy 2021 and didn't consistently show what he is capable of.
Any thoughts or feedback from subjects of the hermit kingdom - what is he capable of in 2022?
