Neil and Marks oldman, Ian Robertson was my old boss at UQ2/Buddies pool hall in Ringwood back in 1992/93ish?

I use to play pool there during the day when Joseph Tront was owner. Ian bought in as partner but had another business (rag collections) so he hired me full time 4 days a week to do his hours as a partner - Ian had weekend custody of his boys who would have been maybe Neil 10-11yo and Mark 9yo? So theyd play pool all weekend in dads new business. Good kids but i never imagined theyd go so far with their pool from where they were at that age - its really impressive how far they have developed

Across the road my neighbours i went to school with Leigh Mitchell was u/15 vic champ (i think he was u/12 champ at one stage) his sister Amanda was u/9 Vic champ and maybe u11s as well? This was 1989/1990 so memory a bit foggy. Theyd give me a lift to highschool in mornings some days. Tony the oldman had fullsize billiards table upstairs and the skill of those two by comparison to Neil and Mark was the length of Flemington straight - which i mention contextually in consideration for what those Robertson boys must have done during their teenage years is staggering/beyond belief really to impact Aus cue sports the way they have. Theres no shortcuts in this sport....

He was on a century in the last but tried to pot a black with a touch of swerve and ended up mis-cueing and hitting a red.
Burden's only points
