McCartin * , Sinn * / Kemp , Chesser *

JHF , Daicos / Ward , D Stephens , ?

/ Hayes

Rachele * / Durdin , Maginness *

Question marks on over half of them (using higher priced rookies deliberately)

Spot on. Rookies levels like a rollercoaster ride. Starting to move to fat boy side rather than lean GnR.

Moved to 11 with full price rucks. Whats the cut off for the middle 5? moved to 8 > $200k
I am working on the $ 210-$300k range so currently Berry , Coniglio , Curnow , Kiddy & Milera.

JHF & Daicos both locked in , might pay up for Rachele.

Ward & D Stephens on the bench at the moment so could cash them in to cheaper.

Lloyd , Short , Sicily
Macrae , Steele , Dunkley * , Neale , Whitfield *
Darcy , Big O
Heeney , Butters

is my working 12

Dunkley & Whitfield can swing depending where the rookies finally sit

Those rookies will kill budgets.
More realistic way to look at it at this stage , pointless using 3-4 $ 102k players and saying wow look at my side now , come Round 1 it changes in any case.

Once the rookies are announced for Round 1 a lot easier to adjust downwards.

We might all have to pay up for the dearer ones in any case if the cheaper options are not their.

I'm still structuring for mostly cheaper ones >124k. They always arrive round 1 and usually make the most money.

They could very well arrive round 1, although at this stage it’s not looking great, but are they good enough to have on field?

It seems that the majority of the better rookie priced players are the more expensive ones this season.

When you look at season end and you see the most money made, yes, it is often the cheaper rookie. What is not see is how many choices there were at that level in week 1 and probability of doing well. Once you move post the obvious ones which everyone has, it is the last 2-3 that hurt, thinking Brockman, Sharp type ones.

Most season, non rookies, many go a $280k defender whereas I typically have target $180k, with a better success rate. Very few pick a Jiath, the Jordan Clarke's (I had him!) are the common ones. The tough ones last year to nail were Berry and Jordon who had the role, poor scoring pre season game and looked to be filling a spot for someone injured for 2-3 weeks.

More so this year it will be just being fluid on a universe of premiums, $250k players, expensive rookies and cheap rookies. Last year there wa uncertainty on the mids, whereas this year most lines I could start 3-4 players on each line and hardest decision is Gawn vs Darcy.

Agree, plan were more expensive high probability players and downgrade if we become confident in lower price players and they are picked.

Here are some cash projections based on predicted / guessed average. Obviously no one scores the same each week but it shows how hard it is for more expensive players to generate cash and how quickly it can slow down. After 4 or 5 price rises it really is just a drip feed.

Lipinski is interesting, I can see him averaging closer to 100 looking at the Pies set-up. There's going to be points up for grab so interesting where this goes and how the points on field for 10 rounds o***et a lesser cash generation.

I agree. I think he's around that mark.
For me the point of interest is if he rotates in the forward line and picks up forward status. Only needs 34%. If he stays mid he isn't a keeper and still doesn't generate as mush cash as a good cheap rookie. Although rnd 14 helps him as a pick.

Do you guys think Lipinski would still average around 100 when De Goey comes back? And if you pick him, are you expecting him to be a keeper or a stepping stone to someone else?
I just feel he's kinda at an awkward price, yeah there is an upside but still!

Anyone currently have all of JHF, J.Ward and N.Daicos in their team?
Daicos is pretty much locked but I'm not too sure about JHF and Ward. Both their prices are steep and wondering if they're a must-have or not.

I have JHF and Daicos but not Ward.

JHF scored 83 SC with ease against Melbourne.

Daicos looks a fairly easy pick.

Ward didn’t do enough to warrant the price-tag for mine.

Not too fussed to be honest , debutante rookies for Round 1 will be announced during the week , so just make adjustments to our starting teams/structures when they are announced.

If we don't get the cheap ones , I am well placed paying extra for those that are named.
