I think WCE have just 24 fit players on the list currently so we could well see some rookies round 1 :-

Think Winder is a real chance, Hough is talented but lightly framed, Trew has had a few injuries.
Winder being mid/fwd could be very handy.
Winder likely to play small forward or actually get a better role? Small forward in a team loaded with injuries that already looks pretty weak on paper is not really something I'm looking for

Reckon West is the most relevant Eagle outside NicNat right now.

Dixon once the Eagles sign him will be one I think most will have in the forwards as well, at least on the bench.

You need both mids and forwards, just get rid of Darling, he's going to waste a list spot.
Yeah he'll definitely be put on the inactive list in the hope he either changes his mind at the end of the season or mandates get dropped at some stage. The bigger decision on terminating his contract and de-registering him will take place after the season.

Would imagine we will also bring 700-800k of next years salary forward (maybe TK & Gov?) to give us a war chest to go after a big fish if we do terminate Darling.

Might even be able so sign a 4th player by moving Sheed to the inactive list with him being out over half the season.

There was another tweet related to this that I saw saying Strnadica was injured as well.

Wanganeen has bust written all over it to me as a pick. Kicked a couple of nice goals after coming on entirely fresh against exhausted players. If he plays it's going to be a really bad role. Walla is one of the best small forwards in the comp and he's been a mid 60s guy in the exact role, Wanganeen isn't matching that.

Personally still be surprised if he plays, Martin looked a long way ahead of him if they're playing those guys but I don't really see the opening for either.

B - Redman Stewart Kelly
HF - Ridley Laverde Hind
C - Heppell Parish Cox
HF - Snelling Francis Caldwell
F - Wright Jones Smith
R - Draper Merrett Stringer
Int - McGrath Langford Shiel Perkins

Then you've got Cutler, Hobbs, Guelfi, Ham, Waterman and Durham who I'd think are at least on a level playing field for a spot with the last couple of guys picked.

It's actually an impressively deep side right now. You could argue a Francis type goes out for one more small but realistically I think even Caldwell is going to have to maintain his spot in the side.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Think it’s laughable that people think Wanganeen is going to play, let alone be a semi-decent SC rookie option.

I have no interest in small forward rookies at the best of times, let alone when they are quite obviously raw and have horrendous job security, see people make those picks every season and will never understand it.

Scored 45 in that game, if they take that score and apply the magic number and then work back 30% from there then his price will be around 170k
Hopefully that game was long enough ago that it's not taken into consideration
