I think it was made pretty clear that Zorko was just trying to get some miles into his legs and he is still a mid/forward.
Personally would like to actually see it, dont understand why youd play in a position if its not at least in the coaches thinking to use you there at some stage.

Serong and/or Andy Brayshaw mightily tempting at the moment.

Another strong showing from them with Fyfe and Mundy in the side will make me seriously consider them.
Brayshaw not getting nearly enough conversation this season I reckon. If Fyfe looks fit, I’ll find it very hard to leave Brayshaw out.

Currently have Brayshaw at M4, but it's leaving my backline a little light. Hopefully the DEF rookies come good.
Between Hinge,Sinn,McCartin,O'Driscoll,Kemp,Dean and SDK we should be OK, will quickly be up **** creek if a few of those guys get dropped within the first couple rounds but its a risk I'm probably going to take.

Currently have Sinn, McCartin, O'Driscoll on field and SDK & Dean on bench, as well as Coleman on field, who is almost rookie priced.

I think whether or not I go with Brayshaw will depend on the depth of midfield rookies. Currently running 5 premos + Berry, JHF & Daicos on field. Another MID rookie that looks good enough to field, and I'll swap Brayshaw for Crisp.

Little snippet in today's West Australian paper about Will Brodie :-

Fremantle Dockers recruit Will Brodie wins game-high nine clearances, 28 disposals in practice match outing

The immediate impact of Fremantle recruit Will Brodie has been underlined by the release of statistics from Friday night’s practice match, showing the former Gold Coast midfielder had a game-high nine clearances in his first outing for the Dockers.

Obviously it is hard to read too much into it with no Fyfe or Mundy playing, but a big watch on how goes with the Freo midfield at full strength for the next preseason game.

Here is what Longmuir said about Brodie when they recruited him :-

Longmuir said he saw Brodie as an inside player that could add a lot to Fremantle’s midfield mix next season.

We’re really bullish on him, we’ll give him an opportunity primarily as an inside mid,” Longmuir said.

“There’s going to need to be a secondary role there just to get his game time up, as is the case with all of our mids.

“Whether that is on the wing or we try and bring some of his aerial strengths to the forward line, we will work on that when he hits the program fully.

“He has all the qualities there to be a good inside mid for us, he is really good in traffic with his hands and with his ability to drive from inside to out.

“We’re really going to focus on his strengths…we feel like there is a spot there if he has a good pre-season.”

So long as they're bullish enough to give him 6 games as an inside mid before trying something different...!
