Scored 45 in that game, if they take that score and apply the magic number and then work back 30% from there then his price will be around 170k
Hopefully that game was long enough ago that it's not taken into consideration
I don't think they'll take it into consideration from that long ago. Probably will be $117k or $124k, don't think he'll get the $102k price tag.

There was another tweet related to this that I saw saying Strnadica was injured as well.

Wanganeen has bust written all over it to me as a pick. Kicked a couple of nice goals after coming on entirely fresh against exhausted players. If he plays it's going to be a really bad role. Walla is one of the best small forwards in the comp and he's been a mid 60s guy in the exact role, Wanganeen isn't matching that.

Personally still be surprised if he plays, Martin looked a long way ahead of him if they're playing those guys but I don't really see the opening for either.

B - Redman Stewart Kelly
HF - Ridley Laverde Hind
C - Heppell Parish Cox
HF - Snelling Francis Caldwell
F - Wright Jones Smith
R - Draper Merrett Stringer
Int - McGrath Langford Shiel Perkins

Then you've got Cutler, Hobbs, Guelfi, Ham, Waterman and Durham who I'd think are at least on a level playing field for a spot with the last couple of guys picked.

It's actually an impressively deep side right now. You could argue a Francis type goes out for one more small but realistically I think even Caldwell is going to have to maintain his spot in the side.
I see Martin getting into the side over Francis as a genuine possibility, I'm not sure if we play that many talls up forward and Francis isn't a proven forward. Waterman could be picked over him though and the moment Tippa is back he'd be the first to go.

You would hope so but they did take McCartin’s scoring history into consideration when factoring his price and he last played in 2018.
Just been reading HS article on rookies and they've got this on Dixon:

Hugh Dixon $102,400 FWD
2021 SC Ave: 88 (WAFL)
2021 PS score: 86

Hopefully that's his price.

They got the year wrong for PS score so who knows?

Are there actually any FWD only or FWD/MID rookies cheaper than Rochele that are actually best 22 and might play consistently?
Hard to tell right now but contenders include:

McCartin
Durdin
Maginness
Hollands
Pedlar
Stone
De Koning

There's a few other names but most are genuine small forwards on the fringe of good teams.

McCartin, SDK and Durdin probably the best odds of that group, Stone, Maginness and Hollands are fringe but chances given weaker sides or decent finishes last year. Pedlar probably needs some help but he's thereabouts in another side that's not super strong.

It's a weak group right now, I think the backs are looking slightly stronger, albeit most of the better names there are also in the Rachele price range.

Definitely shaping as a year that we might have to pay a premium on a lot of rookies which, imo, makes things interesting because you get divergent tactics of those unwilling to do it who start stronger but might face a big cash generation issue and those who take more risks at the start and thus you get slightly more diverse teams as people go for Hewett, Rowell and those kind of priced guys.

Borrowed this from the infamous BF site - thanks TempletonTheRat

Do those that know how their clubs are travelling in regards to injury think i's accurate?

Would also be good to know how JS is, especially if any may be just place holders for other best 22 injured/susp.

Would be good for us to have a more accurate fluid spreadsheet which included scorings capability based on role/history and JS rating to better assess rookies.

Any obvious rookies missing

Was looking pretty good until I saw Gould in the maybe column. A stack of other maybes there that won't play round 1. The rest looks accurate enough.

Couple that stand out to me are T.Wang and Martin (both the Essendon rookies added recently) and some of the Eagles boys. They've only got 23 fit players so you have to think at least a couple will bob up (Hough, Winder, Williams maybe?).

Don't the bombers two play (Martin is potentially a possible but unlikely) but the Eagles guys have to be in the mix if fit.

Note: haven't followed the eagles as closely so apologies in advance if the ones I've listed are all actually injured!

Theres options but most are either in a rubbish role or have terrible job security, really think we have to pay up for rookies this year and even going up into that Brodie/Curnow/Ralphsmith range is probably more viable.

Sam Skinner played more recently, 2 games for 44.5 in 2020, but he was priced at the standard 124k.

Hope the darts thrown land in our favour re Dixon.
Dixon has to even be best 22 for his price to matter, not sure hes any gaurantee when they still have JJK,Williams and Waterman and even if hes picked early on hed be the logical one to be dropped for Allen find it hard to see how he ends up a viable cash cow in all honesty.

Waiting for Gould to debut first , geez they built him up on the radio sports show constantly before he got drafted , amazed he is still on the list.

His price never changes though each season.
Delisted and re-drafted this year, didn't realise that. Looks like he is out of contract at the end of 2022 too, so it seems it's now or never for Jez!

Just shows you can't take too much notice of what they do as juniors , VC of the SA side that won the U18 championship , All Australian alongside Gould , Hately , Lukosious , Rankine & Valente (was AA VC).

Always remember he was talked about as much as Lukosious & Rankine before the draft.

Crows fans, is Luke Pedlar now fully fit/ a realistic chance for round 1?

123K Fwd/Mid - here is his draft profile:

POSITION: Inside Midfielder/Forward

DRAFT ANALYSIS: “Perhaps the biggest ‘bull’ in this draft, Pedlar is as hard as they come. His power and scoreboard impact separate him from other strong bodied midfielders in the 2020 cohort.” – Ed Pascoe

Glenelg and Prince Alfred College (PAC) representative Luke Pedlar started the year in fine form and despite missing selection in South Australia’s Academy Hub, he was able to earn a combine invite - which was a similar situation to last year's draft bolter Harry Schoenberg. Unlike Schoenberg, Pedlar wasn’t able to represent his state at this year's National Championships due to the Covid situation, and a late season injury meant he would miss both PAC’s Grand Final and also the All-Stars game. It means Pedlar could keep going under the radar, which may have not been the case if 2020 went smoothly for the 183cm midfielder. Pedlar is as tough as they come and despite a shoulder injury last year and knee injury this season, he could still be a factor for this year's draft given he boasts plenty of traits scouts will love and a style that holds up well for finals football. Also a talented cricketer, Pedlar has sport running through his veins and is a natural athlete and competitor.
