My bench was setup as :-

Kemp , Dean
Sinn , Maginness , Mead
Hayes
Durdin , SDK (links with Coleman & McCartin)

Since then injuries to Kemp & Dean.

I guess my thoughts are I can easily make adjustments using the higher priced players rather than filling it with cheaper players who don't even look like playing.

Not even convinced half of my bench are named Round 1 , see it as a total waste of time using 3-4 $ 124k or less players when they are not even close to playing then making wholesale adjustments in any case.
Complete waste of time planning a team 😭 , 3 out of 8 injured already

Sportsdeck NBA, Sportsdeck EPL, AFLW Fantasy, Fantasy Darts and NRL Supercoach. ;)
Teams are set , only so much you can do with 2-3 trades each round for NBA & EPL.

AFLW no thanks , Darts good lord no , NRL tried that when I was living in Sydney.

IPL RDT might be close to opening , that will be fun trying to decipher all the team's starting XI's again.

Much easier to go down for when rookies appear vs going up to find cash for the expensive ones! Have 7 150k rookies atm - hopefully a few cheaper ones appear before Rd 1 - they always do!!

I’ve been pretty set on premo’s for a while now, Dawson v Ridley still an interesting one but number of available kick-in players at the bombers deters me slightly.

Will have a very similar side if the mid rookies perform this weekend, like having the cash freed up to spend in defence and up forward.

Not as much as a waste of time as commenting on someone's team with a comment like that...........
I didn’t reply to someone’s team? It was a response to a comment about wasting time planning.

I made my first team 2 weeks ago, but I reckon I would still end up with the same R1 team even if I put together my first team next Monday night instead (y)

I tend to agree these days although i do start working on a team a few weeks before the preseason games it does seem a fairly pointless exercise once the team is pulled apart in the week lead up to R1

This is the funnest part of the game for me. The theory crafting, the potential options, watching kids and roles to see what's developing.

Once you hit the regular season probably 20 of the trades are pretty much "mandatory", you have to get certain rookies, you have to get certain fallen premiums, so really you're making a couple of decisions a round and a couple of trades a month and otherwise, it's just a train on the tracks rumbling forwards!

Nice but I thought you were against the Hewett pick?
Im still very much against the pick but its more what selecting him over a genuine top line premium allows me to do with the team which is making me second guess myself, lets me afford better rookies and provides the funds to be able to afford the likes of McGovern and Coleman up forward which could end up crucial.

Darts good lord no
I admit to knowing zero about darts before joining the comp on here, and I've found it mostly fun and only occasionally frustrating so far (I've had a few very bad results in a row - leaving me in last place in the premier league tipping). You might be surprised if you gave it a go.

The tournament we are tipping for this weekend seems interesting for example - 160 players involved and I must admit, I only recognise around half the names in this one from previous tournaments, no idea about the rest. I think most of us have very little idea to be honest which means we are on a mostly level playing field, but it's actually a very well run competition, even for those of us clueless about the sport itself.

🤔 Such a compelling post , but still no , will wait for the synchronised swimming fantasy comp to start 😀

I am glad you are enjoying it
