With Ward looking startable, the bottom line of the MIDs could end up being JHF, Daicos and Ward. Might squeeze out a Rowell type or even mean one less Premo. Either way, cash will be set free!
I think we will struggle for cheap mid rookies. Might have to have a bit of cash sitting on the bench.

In prior years, I have used a cheap dual position donut in early rounds for both VC loophole as well as opportunity to get a better rookie score on field. Couple of players that may interest in this category with early draws are:

Worner (Freo) D/M 102K Rd1. Sun Rd2. Sun Rd3. Sun Rd4. Sat eve Rd5. Sun Rd6. Sat eve

Long (Haw) M/F 102K Rd1. Sun Rd2. Sat eve Rd3. Sun Rd4. Sun Rd5. Mon Rd6. Mon

Just in case you were thinking about it…

Wingard. Not getting the mid time, even with JOM and Titch not there. Trap.

Sicily. Hartigan will normally get the 2nd tall. Didn’t have the monopoly on kick ins. Trap adjacent.

Gibcus - Solid choice, looked composed. Cramped at end, with a falcon!

Ward - Very good, won’t get that role though. JS high. Slight hesitation in McEvoys voice in locked in round 1…but he didn’t deny it!

Maginess - quieter, some poor skill/decisions on occasion. Better later when the heat was out of it.

MacDonald - has got skills. Better later. On the edge of selection…Some have to fall out, from a SC perspective I hope he doesn’t, wait for the promo puff pieces from the administration during the week to see if he gets there. Did chances no harm with late goal.

Martin - great when the heat was on in the mids. Rested forward still hit the sc scores while doing it.

Part 1 if my three leg multi down. Hawthorn to lose, followed by two WC loses.
