These are the mock round one teams on the AFL website:

They still have listed Joyce and Jones as ins despite their injury setbacks but these are who they have playing in round one

M: Daicos, F. Macrae, D.Stephens, Ward, Macdonald, JHF
R: J. Hayes, S. Hayes
F: Durdin, Ralphsmith, Xerri, Rachele, Brodie, Naish

Notable omissions include SDK, Sinn, Soligo, Hough, N. Martin, Dixon, Baldwin but with Jones injured Baldwin will be an in now.

They've gone for Lycett and Hayes in the same team and Goldy, Xerri and CCJ in the North side.

Has there been any discussion about the expected availability or lack of rookie downgrade options from round 4/5 onwards? Given the difficulty in identifying more than a hand full of starting rookies, will our downgrade/upgrade plans need to be reassessed ?

injuries usually open things up. I’m sure we will get enough options.

Who do the community think of the rookies, not looking likely to play round 1, less than 140k that are likely playing before round 6?

Would rather start one of them than a permanent floating donut. Especially in def.

Id rate Kemp likely as long as hes fit, everything I've heard out of the Blues is they rate him massively and want to pump games into him

Smaller lists less prep over 2 years, has covid already led to earlier debuts from those that otherwise wouldn’t have started till this year? I just posted in another thread that I’d seen little talk of donut to plays and downgrades could be sparse. I think it’s tricky, could mean the mid priced teams with strong benches (which many here are migrating to) could be in order if you need to be more judicious in your downgrades.

No .. all pure MIDs ....

- Just presented as per the optimiser button ... Ie Daicos will be on field ...

Don't see a need to touch it or my on field Ruck lines for now ... but have plenty of wriggle room ...

- DEF and FWD lines ... well that is another question ...
