I have too many blanks, waiting for playing Rookie confirmation for Rd1.
Think we'd all like to do this ideally but have to commit to a fair bit of our structure on Wednesday night before we know most of the teams. Fingers crossed the media departments have our backs with some early videos of cheap SC players phoning their parents.

Actually, idea for club pr people. Have the starting rookies phone up keen SC players to tell them they're debuting. Reckon we could give a bigger cry of delight than any mere parent.

Thing is we now know even this isn't foolproof because they can still be the sub! I'm still pretty down on Hawthorn for doing that.

Devon is done - any bombers future does not include lunchmeat
Guelfi is at best a sub
Cox has unique potential for a team no idea if Truck rates him

Martin can play - just needs a chance imho
The biggest concern IMO would be he plays 2-3 games, then they use him as the sub.

I don't disagree with any of your player assessments but coaches sometimes pick older players because reasons *cough* Mackay *cough*

Devon I do hope is phased out but he does add some creativity to the forward line which without tippa, is lacking.

Are people going to not select Hinge even if he's named?
Good question.

That's my plan but when it comes down to it, if he's named and we don't get some others (Sinn/Martin etc) then might have to.

If first defender rookie is D6, I think McCartin/Gibcus/DeKoning is fine.

I've got a rookie at D5 so might have to pick Hinge if we don't get any surprises like Sinn.

Loops might play a part for me (Macrae VC / Gibcus EMG)

Interested to hear what everyone’s plans are if Hinge isn’t named (currently my D5). Is it to swap with a named playing rookie (Kemp/Sinn) or to go upwards.
If upwards how far? Rioli at 330? Chapman at 275? Bowey at 265?

Patiently waiting for the media to tell us which Rookies will be playing round 1. I have fine tuned my Players List.

I already locked in the main players that I want and temporarily filled in the team. Which Rookies are playing will influence my structure.

Which WCE Rookies?

MID (WCE) HOUGH, Brady $117,300
F/M (WCE) NAISH, Patrick $189,600
FWD (WCE) RIOLI, Willie $225,300
F/R (WCE) DIXON, Hugh $102,400
F/R (WCE) WILLIAMS, Bailey $218,600
Williams & Rioli obviously have played before so he's not talking about them.

If I had to guess I'd say Dixon, Naish & Petrevski-Seton are the Eagles debuts this week. With Hough a chance to fill in for Witherden for the week.

I think we're being a bit optimistic with these Eagles rookies. Dixon will surely be the first out when Darling is back.
