Bit jealous of those getting Hayes on the field (especially as my original plan was to loop Hayes and either go Preuss or Witts depending on what Hayes did)

Will console myself with the fact I had Steele for a lot of the pre-season, and I don't own Crisp. Gotta take the small wins!

Why the hell did I go against my instincts … on Hough/ liked his role before I read that info(can’t recall who posted it/ not their fault either passing on info) but it reinforces that late tinkering inevitably ends in tears 😭

I on the other hand BLAME ALL OF YOU for making me swap MacDonald, a fantastic Hawks rookie to some Saints spud just before the game.

I also blame Ratten for his big Owen boost on the radio while I was waiting for Friday night pizza.

I nearly missed Hayes. Hindsight says he was obvious on tonight's score, but I can see why people weren't going to take him. The JS going forward seemed shaky 3.5 hours ago. Guess it's just the lack of options that has forced players hands, and Preuss would have been a lot more popular if he wasn't suspended. That would have increased Hayes ownership.

Exactly right. I went into that game thinking oh hayes might grab a 60 or so from this and that was wishful thinking as i remembered he was going up against Grundy ( supposedly one of the best rucks in the game) but that score made him seem like an on field pick rather than a bench one, i wonder if anyone started him on field??

For me Owens dampened my night a bit, but then i remembered theres people out there worse than the 14% of people that own him..... The 40% Crisp owners, feel bad for whoever moved from Lloyd to him

Dampened my night too, about 48 short of what I would have been OK with on debut. Couple of rookie crop to come this weekend to look at a replacement or he becomes a loophole option until someone worthwhile presents. Not the end of the world. Was unlikely to ever get an on field spot.

Can't get Hayes score (forgot the E), and can't get Macraes VC, but going better than usual R1. Odds are it falls apart shortly.

Owens I see lasting 3-4 weeks at most until Billings comes back, also have Zac Jones to come back in but that timeframe is unknown. We have a lot of fringe players that could easily come in for Owens. He will be a forward pocket type player initially, a 30-40 score would not surprise me. That and very shaky job security, hard pass.

Looks like I might have oversold him …

Crisp was doing alot of directing to a player with the ball. On numerous occasions there was a ton of space infront of him, that he normally presents into.
Will have to watch him very closely next week to see if a correction is needed.

I've never seen a season with so many 40+% owned players. There are 21!!!
It used to be, if there were 2 or 3 players above 60% in Rnd 1, it was quite surprising. There are currently 9!
I think this is mainly caused by how few Rookies there were to choose from.

I think this is mainly caused by how few Rookies there were to choose from.

Locked rookies then forcing into structural necessities. Throw in a few late outs.

That and the group think is stronger than ever but to be fair, I think many of those 40% plus types were pretty hard to not take. The defender rookies for example is a group of 4 and people seem genuinely desperate to take 4 or even 5 rookie defenders, I mean NOD, Kelly and Sinn are all still in the top 15 defenders, that's next level commitment to a structure.

Think Skinner is your best bet, emergency for Port this week & fwd/Def so could pair with SDK assuming you have him on your back bench.
