I've found myself considering a double move that I never normally would, butttttt it seems kinda good given it feels like a big upgrade on Chapman.

Oliver/Chapman > Brayshaw/Hewett.

*gulps*

The thing I like about this plan is that it leaves flexible for a move or two next week (have Rachele and Durdin in my sights).
I would consider (and am considering) those trades, but probably not willing to do them this week. Apart from wanting confirmation on Hewett I want to know if any of my 'maybe' outs become must-discards.

Do you have a way to get Rachele this week easily enough? Would give you more room to move next week.

I don't mind the idea, but is there really no other move you can make to loose $100k than taking out Oliver?

Think I'll do Hough to Martin no matter what this week, might need two trades next week and do not want to waste a boost (they'll be very useful in upgrade season)
Agreed that the boosts will be handy, but I think we all need to remember that these COVID restrictions aren't going to be around much longer. There's already a lot of talk about removing the isolations rules for "close contacts", so that only those WITH COVID have to isolate, and "close contacts" can act as normal (with a -ve RAT).

My thinking is that, with 5 boosts, 1 can definitely be spend in this 'adjustment' period.

I agree RE covid but we still want to make the most out of them. My plan is to use all 5 to upgrade my side more quickly between rounds 6-14, I think ideally that's a better way to maximise what they offer. Worst case scenario I'll use one next week but I want to jump the gun on one trade this week to avoid that, Hough may be dropped in any case this week given he was the worst of their half backs.

Sadly not. I’ve got Dixon as the guy I’d ideally like to move to Rachele but can’t get there without finding cash from another move, such as McGovern > Durdin.

Tricky spot for us.

Gov to Durdin gets me there. Clarry out feels really bad the more I think about it, maybe best to wait and see what happens this week.

Gov/Chapman > Durdin/Hewett might look nice in a weeks time, who knows. Need to see Hewett with Walsh in the side against a strong midfield.

I wouldn’t be trading Gov especially with him playing the dogs tomorrow pm, can see Weitering/ McDonald locking down on Naughton & the dogs don’t have any other quality tall fwds with Bruce out thus allowing Gov to zone off & intercept mark regularly. His role is excellent, missed out on the easy points late last week after his heavy landing - real potential for close to 100 point games in that role for mine.

Agreed, it’s not ideal. I think I’m putting two much weight into the Chapman > Hewett ‘upgrade’ which is still very speculative, but these types of moves always look better after round one when we’re looking through our rose tinted lenses…

Wait, so you're going to have SIX defenders in your team? I wouldn't be recommending this, especially when there are plenty of future DEF options on the horizon (players like McGrath and McDonald likely to get DEF status after R6).
Very happy with only three rookies at this stage but Hewett, if he backs it up, is too good value to ignore. So unless I trade out a premium I'd rather go with no defensive rookies.

Reluctant to give up on crisp.

Can do brodie ward, milera to skinner, hays and Hewett.

Trouble is got to commit to the boost tomorrow and that's that

‘happy to wait a week on Hayes. My biggest issue is Milera. Even though I own crisp and Ridley. Happy to stick fat with them even though Ridley was a last min replacement for Lloyd who I forgot about then Essendon had the early game while I was at work. Also happy to give ward another crack.

so back to Milera. I can only really sideways him to another player at a similar price, or downgrade him to skinner if he’s named. Or I’d have to use a premium who will lose some value.

so it could be Steele to crisp, Milera to Hewett. Kind of leaves a sour taste as it’s almost a reverse of what I did at 710 last Thursday. Only difference is Id now hve miller over steele.

next is steele, Milera out. Lipinski hall in.

other options are Gawn to Witts which would allow Milera to Hewett and ward to lipinski.

anyone Looking at turfing players they still like just to not take their price hit?
Get your rookies in order. If you have all the good ones, sit still and wait. SC 101 do not chase last week points.
