I am normally an advocate for holding trades, especially premiums, maybe next week if a correction is needed. If you missed rookies and you want to keep 2 trades up your sleeve for next week I'd pull the trigger there.
However there is huge amount of value this year. And most of the value are players we all talked about pre season. I don't know what move would be optimal without a crystal ball, however if you want to seriously contend for overall I think you have to make a move and be aggressive. Just holding your Prems won't get you 50k.
I'm strongly considering gawn to english, and Steele to Heeney. Which is like trading away 2 aces for a queen/jack. It's not because I think Steele and gawn won't come good and score well, it's the value from the other 2. I pocket 400k and get 2 forward IMO top 6 forwards. Even if Stef comes back I see english going 100-105 this season, bloke looks stronger and fitter. And Heeney looks mint and so fit.
The 400k wouldn't be blown, I'd be conserving it for upgrade time, which means I can bring in who I want and in some ways more importantly trade out the weaker rookies first.
I have all the right rookies and midpricers are fine.
I wouldn't trade til rd5/6 unless I had to after this and I would rather do these trades this week unless something major happens next week and we are forced to trade elsewhere.
