Hmm, interesting choice, but think it's almost worth trading Preuss at this rate. No cash gain until at least R5, and no guarantees of even getting it then. I did think he'd be at worst second ruck to Flynn most rounds this year, just another reason to avoid GWS players I guess.
Solves a decision for me next week.

Preuss > Martin via Hayes
Berry > McDonald/Nukem

Extra week to assess is handy.

Can cover Dusty this week with Rachele/Hayes/Durdin.

Sent in for a scan after a fitness test probably says it will hold him out for a bit which is arguably best case scenario for Brodie owners.
Interesting as I thought he was playing this week. If he misses a few that's good news for Brodie owners that's true, I'm just concerned he comes back next week before the cow has a chance to fatten up.

Brayshaw looks bloody good and a good move for those that grabbed him.

Further to the posts on fyfe and Brodie, I read that as they are unsure on when Fyfe may return. Good for Brodie this week at least and maybe longer.

Andrew Brayshaw and Will Brodie each had five centre clearances and Longmuir said he would look to build on the latter's involvement after the former Gold Coast midfielder's time on ground was restricted to 65 per cent.

"We'll keep working on his game time. There were a few players who were a little bit low because they got caught off for the last five minutes of the game," the coach said.

"I think he can build on his game from the weekend."

Have Brodie and he definitely has the capacity to be an inside beast. The issue is just that he isn't as fit as he ought to be and isn't good defensively, also doesn't win much ball on the outside or have a second string to his bow. Still I think he has enough to work with on his pure inside ability to be a good player if they can give him the license to excel at what he's good at. If he gets fitter and can win more outside ball I think he'll be a decent footballer. Has shades of Jarryd Lyons about him, Dew does seem to especially dislike players who don't run both ways. Has averaged 80 odd in small sample sizes in previous years, his forward status explains how low his price is and why he scored so poorly last year, if he is stuck forward for long periods like last year I can't see how he'd score well.

Only if you didn't have Hayes, preuss should have a decent return, so feels a wasted trade really...
