Macrae will no doubt be in my team by seasons end. The true test will be whether I've managed to use the early rounds wisely without him. As Wogi says, it's a long season and the beauty of this game is there are a million ways to win it.
Million ways to lose it too :)

Macrae is so uber consistent in the last few years. This is his lowest cost each one
2021 - $621,500
2020 - $578,900
2019 - $572,700

It's a true risk vs reward play. He puts out a poor score and you go ahead of 90% of the serious field. But if those around him fail and he doesn't, you fall behind.

I prefer to take these risk guys off the table and take the risks elsewhere.

2/446 MacRae VC & Cripps - (but looped SDK C) Durdin at F7 thankfully. Hewett looking like the must have M/D DPP option.

Walshs 90 from a huge 34 possies has him looming as a tasty first upgrade option in a few weeks, wont score that badly very often.
Can't see Walsh scoring like last year. Carlton have basically gained 4 very good mids.

Can anyone shed some light if this can still be done without executing a trade? Or can the trade be reversed once the round has commenced with the new rules?

De koning moves from Def moves to fwd
Worner moves from mid to Def
Brodie moves from fwd to mid

I think you need another D/F to move DKoning fwd.

Tricky week brewing, I missed Cripps and Hewett and still have Dusty who, while named, seems unlikely. Given English, Treloar, Cripps, and Hewett have all played I can't see an obvious trade for him at this stage. An awkward case of wait and see

I think you could do it

Trade out de koning
Sub worner to def
Sub Brodie to mid
Trade in a 123900 forward
Then update trade from forward back to de koning to get the trade back

Works in theory, interested to see if you could actually do it
You could do it with a trade. I understood @PressurePoint just wanted to shuffle the players he already had.

I think non Cripps owners have to get him in, even with a pair of 105s he'll make $100k in two weeks and the Blues play the Hawks and Suns in these two games, if he starts failing after a few weeks it might be close to $150k made and straight swap to someone like Steele or Oliver, that'll be worst case scenario. Best case, he's a top 8 mid (which currently looks very possible).
