Have any reverse trade rules changed after lockout. Eg if I trade Milera to Sinn can I reverse it? I know I can retrade sinn but just wondering if the trade can be reversed?
I'm pretty sure you can, as long as he hasn't played yet. Maybe wait for another response before doing it.

Not too thrilled with my team previously so dumped crisp for Hewett... making 170k in the process.

Still throwing up on whether to go Berry to petracca at the moment. He looked bloody amazing last week.
If you can afford Petracca, I would have thought this was an easy call myself. It does depend on how much cash you think Berry will make you and more importantly how quickly of course.

Wondering if we should set up a thread for everyone who says they'll do a couple of early trades this week and then do no more until round 6-7. They can put their names and ideas in now and then get back to us in a month and a half and see how they went with that.

Coz as someone who spent 16 years trying to quit smoking, I'm pretty familiar with the "just a couple won't hurt, then she'll be golden" mindset.

View: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6l2ymx
. The parallels in that video are amazing, even down to all us "mind your trades" types breaking our golden rules by round 4.

Maybe we could set up a group session: "Hi. I'm aj74 and I'm a tradeaholic." And everyone else is all: "Hi aj74". And then I tell them all about sitting up at 10 on a Sunday night, compulsively hitting refresh waiting for the game to open from lockout again. Jonesing for that dopamine hit from acquiring a shiny new recruit. Scratching my arms and hitting up strangers in the Coles car park for a trade boost: "Hey man... you don't know what it's like to be 5k short of Pat Lipinski."

Yep. It's a problem. But recognising it is the first of those 12 steps. And in a place like this, there is no judgement, just the will to be better versions of ourselves. Let us pray: God, give me the over-performing rookie to be a semi keeper to the byes; the maxed out mid-pricer ready for upgrading to super-premo, and the wisdom to tell the difference between the two.

Amen

Maybe a good idea to have a "Tradeaholic Thread", or SuperCoach introduce a new game, where we are forced to do 2 trades per week? ;)

2022 TRADE UPDATE

Change your trade plans during a round? Now you have ultimate flexibility to adjust your moves after lockout – providing the players involved aren’t locked out and don’t bust your salary cap.

I'd highly consider at least watching a game of Blakey with Lloyd before making this move.

I love Blakey but Lloyd is a very significant piece of information. He looked great last week, took the majority of kick-ins, kicked just about perfectly, didn't get injured and lose a quarter and still only scored 98. Lloyd is going to steal most of those kick-ins I would bet, he'll also steal a few touches from him.

Heeney is a sound pick, durability is his issue but otherwise he's going to be a keeper level forward and if his role from last round can hold up he's going to be better than that but I would also hazard that Parker playing forward so much was more a hot hand than a plan, Heeney did rot up forward until Parker started kicking goals like he's Gary Ablett Sr and then stayed forward for the majority.

Also worth noting that Sydney played just about perfect last week, if we play at that level all season we win a flag, so there's definitely some regression to the mean for the whole side on the cards.

That said, I'm ready to cull Ridley also
Thanks Wogi. I actually thought Blakey was a bit unlucky last week, really quiet Q1 and missed a few of the kick-ins on the bench. (yes, Lloyd will take the majority... but hopefully kick it to Blakey )

Pre-season game was with Lloyd, but yes it’s not the real thing. Blakey did have 28 in that game (22 last week)

I don’t normally trade Round 2 but feeling pretty confident... will see how it goes.. and yeah I want Ridley out, want my Stephens/Rachele loop this week, want Heeney etc

Reminder that trades out can be reversed even if the player traded in has already played.

For example, if you rage traded out Crisp for Hewett and the news comes through this morning that Whitfield is out indefinitely with a herniated disc in his back, you can bring Crisp back in and trade out the injured Whitfield instead notwithstanding that Hewett played last night.

That's unexpected. Is it as long as you end up with the locked player back in your team on the same line?

Well you don't really end up with the locked player back anywhere, because they don't go anywhere as part of the trade reversal. They're locked on the line they were on when their game started.

So in the example above if you traded out say Steele for Hewett and moved Hewett to DEF (via Worner DPP), Hewett would be locked on that DEF line. But you could then reverse the Steele trade out and trade out say Berry instead.

THoughts on this?

Owens/Berry > Lipinski/Rowell

Or am I just kicking the midpriced can down the road?

Would ideally have used McGovern instead of Berry, but alas

Personally I think the bigger issue is a lack of keepers, so bringing in another MP player could leave you in strife! I would consider Chapman to Hall, scoring looks as elite as last year and is a nice POD as only in 3% of teams. Will shore up your back line nicely too. If the cash allows you could still do berry to Rowell but have a feeling you'll fall just short so would wait an extra week.

I agree, backline is a concern.

Love the suggestion, I can do Berry/Chapman to Hall/Rowell with 2k to spare :)

Thanks mate
