That doesn't factor in role change though.

Heeney is fitter than he has ever been, having had several compromised pre-seasons. Longmire said he would get more "mid" time, and he is. He is getting possessions deep in the backline. These gun players will get more ball if they get to more contests. It's the same as Cripps. The goals are cream, but they come because of the ability to go forward with a mis-match, created by being fitter and not just sitting forward all the time.

Heeney could win the brownlow if he doesn't get injured. That table above is relevant if a player is in the same role as previously, but not in this case.
It was stats analysis around a player scoring a particular score across a season. Even a player ave 110 has seven scores below 100 according to the stats. As for the role Heeney has, this has always been one of the issues with Heeney. His role has changed for different games across past seasons. Even Longmire said prior to this season that they would like to play him more in the midfield (said that basically every season for past few years) but we will play him where ever we need him.

So if he stays fit and keeps the same role as past two games than yes he could be in for a big year.

Can anyone who has been keeping an eye on Tom Mitchell offer any insights as to his form?
Is he not moving well / not getting as many CBAs / just disposing of it poorly?
Ended up starting him in the shuffle, obviously regret it on results to date, trying to decide whether to keep the faith or just cut bait.
Sam Mitchell mentioned something preseason about groin issues. Could be that.

'Emotional' corrective trades once SC opened last night...

Whitfield, McGovern & Berry > Short, Cripps & Heeney
*Using cash from Gawn > Witts trade last round

Let's see how my emotions plays out during the week but it's a solid corrective set nevertheless based on what has transpired over the first 2 rounds. The only deterrent/consideration for me is what kind of 'value' am I buying into as I've missed their 'hot' starts...?
I've allowed this to sink in after a couple of days and now can put forward my thoughts to get some opinions so I can make a well inform decision and own it.

Essentially the OUTs remains the same and Cripps as one of the INs, can do Hall & Hewett in liew of Short & Heeney.

Whitfield is my 'ugly duckling' after 2 rounds, a luxury (corrective at a stretch) which I'm still not sure about as it's too earlier to be making this type of trade, but team looks more appealing with a Hall/Hewett instead.

I may employ a KISS approach and save a boost by doing McGovern & Berry to Cripps & Heeney/Hewett.

Let's hear what the 'wisdom of the crowd' has to say...

Love it. And by it I mean the 5 Covid trades, i.e. 7 trades. Use them all. Start with DNP, find and replace with selected to play. Sort by most traded in Ctrl A, Ctrl C, Ctrl V. Then wish him well. Perhaps keep Hibbard. Remind him to use the green dots at the beginning of the preseason.

Actually, forget it. Change name by deed pole and start again. Simply too many DNPs to even be fun.

Conundrum ... trying to settle on a final trade for this week. At the moment I have L Jackson in there (below, highlighted) ... but can use DPP to fill any of the FWD / MID / DEF lines for that spot. And up to $630K, so Petracca etc in scope if needed. Main ones I've considered based on scoring potential and cash gen are:

Jackson
Heeney
de Goey
Green

Any thoughts from the wise folk here to help clarify (or muddy) my thinking?!

KISS - unless you think Whitfield's decline is here to stay

I like the KISS approach, underperfomer and a possible shoulder to 2 potential guns looks good.

Option 2 - McGov could be given more time, yet his role has seemed too change from week to week. Berry just needs a couple of games where he is not accountable.

Cracking start to the season, were you sweating a little when Preuss not name last week and Ryder in the Magoo's?

Any thoughts on Heeney given he is playing more up the field? Brayshaw a good pick, should be past his inconsistencies and guessing just a case of does he get attention and how does he handle it.

You set on letting Rachele go by?

I think the real KISS is McGovern to Rachele and Owens to Cripps.

If you do that with Durdin instead of Owens, is there enough for berry to heeney?

To my eyes and purely trying to maximise on field points, I would prioritise D>F>M.

D: You can afford to get anyone, world's your oyster
F: See above for D
M: Petracca/Brayshaw would slot in nicely, but means choosing between JHF/Daicos for M8 (good luck)

***I see Bowey at D4, if this was part of this round trades then I would suggest moving him to a proper premium and grab Stephens instead. Both good cash cows with a good R2 score banked, I always take the lower priced cash cow in this situation.

Nailed it Herbie. Berry's job was to negate Merrett at stoppages not follow him around. re Whitfield, it was to stop the defensive handball backwards.

BTW re DPP changes, apparently they happen at end of round 5, start of round 6. Not end of round 6. I remember there was some discussion on this preseason.
I believe that is the case for Fantasy , I don't have Twitter so maybe Pete Jank announced something that they are changing for SC & RDT.

Setting aside changes in role, is English actually playing better this season, and do we think that’s sustainable?

Eg is he looking stronger/fitter, has he improved his ruck craft, etc?

Team looks good already but I would certainly do the Berry to Cripps trade. I think it's best to spend most of that cash in the bank so McGov to Heeney is the logical 2nd trade. Whitfield to Hewett I'm not entirely convinced but can certainly see the appeal.
