So Macrae started the quarter at 95, gives away a free kick in the first 30 seconds, does literally nothing for 29 minutes, gives away a costly 50m penalty in a high scaling period, gets 1 contested handball, finishes on 92.

Make it make sense.
The only logical answer is his earlier efforts were getting scaled up while he did his best to undermine them…

Any hawks supporters here. How close is ned long to debut / sub? Only donut is him and English vc.
Probably not this week. Saw some of the VFL match last week and he was quiet, looked good when he got it, just didn't get enough of it. Apparently he had been better in previous pre-season matches. I doubt he plays this week, but could get a game soon. As Dazza mentioned, Day in seems the only likely change to a side that beat Port by 10+ goals.

He was getting scaled down during the final quarter when he wasn't touching it, though (just like everyone else). Lost 3 points from scaling, then gave away a 50m penalty, lost nothing, got a contested handball, back up to 95 where he started, scaled down to 92 post-game (though almost every other player lost points post-game, too). The game was close in the final quarter so I don't see why scaling from previous quarters would've come into it. I've seen players lose 10 points for giving away a 50 n the same situation as Macrae.

I guess to CD, 1 contested handball in the final minute is good enough to cancel out a FA, 50m penalty against and 29 minutes without touching it.

Maginness has been playing HB so Day in for him, unless they decide to give Day another week for BH

Frustrating for a non owner like me that he had a mare yet CD reward him

English excellence

It was a huge performance from English, who had one of the best games of his career in an outstanding ruck display. The big man collected 24 disposals, eight clearances and eight marks, and also had 28 hitouts. Add to that his game-high 12 score involvements and his influence on the result was immense. Even before the Swans lost their No.1 ruckman Tom Hickey to a knee injury in the third quarter was English getting on top.

He was so impressive tonight 👏

Very happy I made the last minute decision to trade him in. Chose him over Jackson.

People without English in big trouble for overall I think (me!). Did it in AF and SD since I care less... Hayes R2 is going to deservedly end in tears I think :p.

Also my smooth brain traded Gawn to Macrae, should have gone for value but oh well.
How long does it last? Does he still go 90+ when he needs to share the ruck with Stefan Martin?

English was fantastic, new recruit Lloyd just the usual after a quieter 2nd half. Heeney (also new) wasn't so good but that game showed why he'll score well. The Swans were outworked all night, Heeney played deep forward more after Hickey went off and still it was only poor disposal that kept him to a sub-optimal score. Stephens on the bench, phew.
