177. Up 16 to 60 overall.

Strange week - started with a full squad, only to end up trading in Kilman to not play, Donny VDB out sick, GK Sa score 0 and Salah -1 lol.

Looking forward to this break. EVE and BRN on the DGW coming up not overly exciting

Socceroos v Blue Samurai tomorrow night.

Need a win to keep the dream of automatic qualify alive

China win over Saudi Arabia would be very timely

Socceroos concede in the 89th minute, and another in stoppage time. Guess the interest now switches to who we face in the play-o***. Current standings in the other group are UAE in 3rd on 9, Lebanon 4th on 6, Iraq 5th on 5. UAE and Iraq play at 4AM, Lebanon play Syria (6th). Guess we'll see in the morning who our most likely opponent is.

That's interesting the game against the other 3rd team is a one off game (in Doha) used to be Home & Away , same as the game v the South American 5th team (also in Doha)

Iraq 1 UAE 0
Syria 3 Lebanon 0

Current standings:

Matches to come:
Iran v Lebanon
UAE v South Korea
Syria v Iraq

Hard to pick who finishes 3rd, Iraq might be favourites from here. If we beat this team, we play the 5th ranked South American team - one of Peru, Colombia or Chile to qualify.

In other WC qualifying news, Italy got knocked out by North Macedonia this morning. Bit of an upset there.

Australia will play UAE on 7 June in the WC play off match, who beat South Korea 1-0 overnight (Australia just lost to Saudi Arabia 1-0). Whoever wins that match will play the 5th ranked team from South America to qualify, we'll know who that is by lunch time.

Mount or Bruno if you already have Saka/Ode would be the play.

Klopp believes Trent Alexander-Arnold will be available for Tuesday's Champions League game with Benfica. Due to join in training today.

He also said that tomorrow is not impossible.
