It can be unsettling knowing you missed the boat on a value option (I.E. Xerri & Hinge), however given that you have used six trades already, I would heavily reconsider the need to trade those players in.

You don’t need to trade Hayes > Preuss this week (assuming he isn’t dropped). Hayes has a -14 BE and will make coin, whereas Preuss will be stuck on your pine contributing nothing.

I would also strongly advise against trading JHF. He is a likely candidate to gain FWD status soon and is averaging 80 @ 250k with a negative BE…

There is merit in trading Rachele, however given you already have Martin I would personally advise holding. There is also the avenue of upgrading to Xerri if you have $ readily available

Honestly not quite sure what moves need to be made, with $12,900 remaining salary.

However, thinking about making one of Coniglio/English my captain for next week (and maybe beyond?)

Trade suggestions are more than welcome. I did contain myself and keep Whitfield over Hewett (though Hewett did perform better again...) and am overall happy with almost all of my guns this week.
I have Durden & Rachele on my bench - thinking of swapping Durdin for Martin. Yes or massive mistake?

Have Marshall and have enough to get to English but not sure I want to commit to that, don’t want to have to spend another trade on rucks after this so need to be sure of it. Marshall had a couple of stinkers and if they continue with Ryder and Hayes, even though Hayes doesn’t go in the ruck it hurts Marshall as a FWD option.

Marshall to English,
Maginess to Martin seems the most simple trade.

Magness was really poor. I really like Martin.

Marshall's break even must be massive. Ryder and Hayes limits his upside. English feels like a trap but he can swing into the forward line at some stage.

Will likely flick Durdin for Martin.

Not super thrilled about it, but have to get Martin in. He looks fantastic. Durdin looks okay (and will probably pump out a spike score), but he’s my only realistic option.

Am giving Crisp to Lloyd serious consideration. Touching distance of the lead so happy to be aggressive early.

LMac to Green
Stephens to Martin
Trade counter: 28/4.

Could just go LMac down to Martin…but Green, boy oh boy! 2 out of 3 seriously large tonnes but at $500k is still not crazy I hope.

Congrats to those here who grabbed/started him!

Would love some help this week. Only done Gawn to Jackson and Berry to Heeney so far... 87k in the bank.
Looking to be aggressive this week. Butters to Green could be an option if he's hurt. Most of my players are pulling their weight - I'm not though. My captaincy choices have been rubbish! Screenshot_20220404-082116_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20220404-082125_Chrome.jpg

Soligo > Martin via Rachele to mid bench is a no brainer.

It's the 2nd trade that's doing my head in:unsure:

I have Preuss locked on the ruck bench with Grundy and Witts on field and feel that Preuss's points are wasted so I probably need to trade Witts and swing Hayes to R3. I'm just having a bit of trouble deciding who to trade him to with 256k ITB. If any of you gurus out there have a bit of insight then your thoughts will be appreciated.

Options as I see it....
Witts > English via Hayes + 150k ITB
Witts > Docherty via Hayes and SDK + 115k ITB with Paddy to the bench but opening up a Def/Fwd link
Witts > Oliver via Hayes and Rachele with JHF to the mid bench + 8k ITB.

Or just hold for another week?

My team before trades:

I've used 3 trades already.
Bench is looking solid, only non playing rookie is Owens.
Rachelle the only mid that I'm slightly worried about from a BE perspective.

The only one I'm missing at the moment is Dixon, but I don't see him getting a tonne of games.
I think if he's picked this week, I might go Owens to Dixon. That way I bank the Dixon cash, and if he does get dropped in coming weeks becomes a good loophole option with all other rookies still playing.

Is it worth it, or is it a wasted trade?
