...unless they also go down with COVID
Saw a picture posted somewhere a few days ago of Adams having lunch with Pendles, Lipinski, Harry McKay (strangely) and a couple of others (can’t remember off the top of my head, maybe Howe). Fingers crossed no one else thought the club/s has got it.

Pendlebury, Daicos and Lipinski all could get more mid time and lose out on the first lot of dp additions.
Be interesting to see this round with Tay Tay & JDG both missing , seems to be the pairs are :-

Adams & Lipinski
de Goey & Elliott
Crisp & Pendles

Maynard back last week certainly released Daicos to a more M & F role.

What puts someone under H&S protocols?
Is it just being a close contact?
If so, I wonder if anyone is keeping records, of how many of these H&SP people go on to test positive, after initially giving a negative test?
That would seem to be the determining factor as to whether these protocols are working, or whether they are a complete waste of time!

I'm not going to pretend I know 100% but based on the fact the WA clubs were considered the most at risk by them, and they've been offered the opportunity to be based in Melbourne temporarily, I think it's a reasonable assumption that the protocols actually differ by state. WA is basically the only state with close contact rules in place now so in every other state I think you can just assume anyone in the protocols actually has it.

Good question. I'm not sure, but it looks like close contact will do it:

Ben Rutten enters AFL's health and safety protocols, assistant Black Caracella to step up

.........BLAKE Caracella will coach Essendon this week after senior coach Ben Rutten entered the AFL's health and safety protocols.

Rutten is in isolation as a household COVID-19 contact and will miss the Bombers' clash with his old side Adelaide on Sunday at Marvel Stadium.

The club said Rutten had tested negative but would sit out the game while isolating as per the government guidelines.

"Ben has tested negative but is a household contact and will isolate for the required period of time. We understand this is the landscape and like many other clubs at the moment, will adjust to the situation accordingly," Essendon football boss Josh Mahoney said..........

My understanding is Close contacts have to isolate but the definition of close contact differs from state to state, hence Hardwick's joking comment about can we get rid of the close contact rule.
Vic, its only if you have been inside a house for 4+ hours.
While WA its 2 hours in a small room or 15 minutes of face to face contact.

He probably wasn’t joking ...
