With the NN news, I am tempted to go Hinge > NOD, Cripps > Dixon (move Dunkley into the mids) which would give me over 500K in the bank for upgrades.

With rookies like Ward, Stephens, MacDonald, etc stalling so early with their cash generation I think someone like Dixon who just had his JS skyrocket & can score so well in his current role is almost a must have.
Cripps out move cogs to mid, Dixon in, Hinge to Hall. 100k in the kitty 😺
Yep have to get Dixon now.
Shannon - what's your thoughts on Dixon, does NN impact him in any way when you think about team dynamics.

Dixon - hit out wins 25%, no HTA yet. Does a lot of great work around the ground and fights hard for possession.

Williams - hit out wins 25%, HTA 19%.

Oscar Allen back round 6 at this stage I believe (they mentioned that, yet was listed 3 weeks away in last weeks injury list, now back running)

My thoughts would be NN doesn't change his outlook. Either Williams or Strnadica ruck.

Allen back will put pressure on one tall, either Waterman or Dixon. My guess is Waterman may go out.

I have Dixon, hope he hangs around, just concerned there is either a misread of the team dynamics or I am reading it wrong.

Next 4 games are solid, Swans, Port, Richmond and Brisbane. Tougher run though than last 4, Swans and Port with back up rucks are a big positive. Funny, was thinking I was going to trade Dixon to Martin two rounds ago.

Team dynamic wise, I think Williams will come in as the number 1 ruck - it is his chance now to be the main ruck. Strnadica I believe has to build fitness back up after coming back from injury, not sure how long that will be. Waterman would be the one to make way for Allen, he hasn't been able to cement his spot despite all the outs which is disappointing. Allen will not be risked in the ruck anymore, way too valuable as our next key forward for the next decade. When fit, I think Allen & Darling will be the 2 key fwd targets that play each week - JK I expect to have regular rests, especially for away games. Williams & Dixon can both play as key fwds along with rucking/ we have often played 3 tall fwds in the past so even when JK plays I can see room for both Dixon & Williams in the team.
The thing that really surprised me with Dixon was how good he was at ground level when in the ruck late in the game, no doubt that would of really impressed Simmo which adds further to his job security.

Reckon I might hold Cripps even for 3 weeks, Move Dunkley or Cogs to the mids via Rachele and have Dixon/Durdin/Rachele/Xerri on field in the Fwds, allows me to continue with my upgrade plans around him, plus I've used a truckload of trades already and want to bring in Docherty for Bowey, an uber mid for Rowell, move Hinge > O'Driscoll. I can then upgrade Lipinski to another uber mid a round or 2 later.

Foreign territory for me in regards to holding onto this much cash but is necessary to grab most of the good rookies whilst holding on to the cash to target the likes of C Oliver, T Miller, etc.

Is NOD a must have? Thinking of passing and just sitting on my hands for this week. Got 300k in kitty so might go double up next week

I can understand the desire to stock up the cash this week ... there are almost no genuine rookie options that will be on the bubble for R6. The lowest B/E from their 1st game last week is Rosas (GCS) @ -21, and after that, you have to go down to Butler (WBD) @ +10.

Dixon & O'Driscoll will likely be the only ones on the radar this week, with Preuss being the only solid option next week.
