Assuming he does miss this week as reported I reckon he'll miss the next game vs Freo over there as well. There's a fair bit of risk putting him on a plane for 4 hours each way with a dodgy hammy, which I'd suspect they'd want to avoid if they really think they're chance of playing finals / making some noise this season.

Makes more sense to play it conservative and bring him back for round 7 vs the Roos from where I'm sitting.
Good point with the long flight to Perth….. one week and you consider keeping him…two weeks and it’s likely move him on….

WA boy , don't they have seats that are flat on aeroplanes ?

If not put him in a bed and drive him to Perth in a big truck

Just lost to the Suns , wouldn't want to treat Freo too lightly.

I am torn with what to do. Be aggressive or conservative.
To me the answer to that question is how happy you are with your current ranking?

Personally I'm ranked poorly, the gains made at this time of year are likely to be greater than holding trades and using later IMO.

I will be going hard now if it does not work then so be it. I would rather go hard now make up some ground that sit back holding trades and falling further behind then be too far behind at upgrade time.

I hear you - happy with my ranking whilst having used only the one trade and I'm torn on which way to go as well.

The one thing that reminds me of the need to keep exercising a bit of discretion and try to pick my spot(s) well trade-wise are the regular updates on players and coaches "entering health and safety protocols" every week.

Walsh hasn't looked quite right yet. He is getting the ball ok, but everything has seemed hurried and his running is not back to 100%.

He likely will be a top 8 mid from a certain point onwards, but we can probably wait another couple of rounds before his value starts heading north.
Walsh lacking some fitness, but think the main problem is he is spending some time on the wing, rotation with Cerra. Still going to find the ball a lot but maybe at a cheaper price.

Yeah if Cripps is cleared to play Freo, he will fly no problem. Gets a chance for him and his partner to see their parents and friends.

Hope not. Would like to see him play over here next week 😁

No but if Hinge is named I don’t see who I would downgrade to him for. Can see the argument for cash gen for upgrade season but I’m not sure NOD is a must have
I'm thinking of downgrading Xerri to O'Driscoll (via SDK). Nets 150k in the bank & gives me back the McCartin/SDK Def-Fwd swingset. Xerri will still be decent onfield, but a b/e of 58 seems like a decent time to trade, if i'm going to to do it. Already have Gawn, Grundy, Dixon & Hayes, so not really important if/when Xerri has dpp ruck/fwd status. Thoughts?

Leaning towards Cripps + Bowey out for Sinclair + Jackson. Lots of uncertainty around Cripps and how long he will be out for, and the timing seems to work well to push out Bowey and bring in Jackson.

Going to have a team full of RUC/FWDs at this rate with English, Dixon, Hayes, Jackson and Xerri.

NOD must have is tricky because I think Preuss is more important (especially if you can get him on field) and don’t really have two downgrade targets in the next two weeks

I love a trade but I can't trade Cripps for a one week injury! I didnt even start with him. Rachele goes on field in mids. Hopefully he breaks my four week run of fielding/ not fielding the wrong weeks. Xerri to Dixon. I should keep minge. I think Nod comes in. It depends on teams. Probably one of Stephens, Macdonald or skinner.

Is it worth a trade to send Cripps off?

Would Green be a good replacement and is he a safer option this year unlike other years?

Or is it worth riding Cripps' injury out? Cop the 153be and hope he goes hard next week?

When we had 20 trades wouldn’t even consider trading a likely one week injury. 30 trades keep. 35 trades probably a 50/50 call.

Its a keep from me.

Applies the rules in your head Courts.

I have been aggressive, traded Gawn Chapman and Whitfield. Happy with Hewett, Heeney good and Hall solid.

Aggressive hasn't paid off.

Cripps out one week and will hold, have moved Rachele to mids (last week for Stephens to Preuss) and will loop him and O'D (inbound for Connor I expect).
