Nope, will try to get an advantage by getting Strnadica at R3 and making $200k around his bye. Will get Mills or Oliver this week which gets Berry off field.
I was also on the Strnadica train when downgrade options looked slim, but I feel the edge has been lost a bit with Clark (104), Carroll (95), Rioli (92), Hamilton (68), McComb (63) & Curtis (58) all emerging as viable alternatives.
So yeah I'm just not sure there is much advantage in losing 40-100 points to Gawn each week for the sake of having Strnadica over Hamilton say.
Clark seems like he's a no brainer in next week, a bit more of a brainer this week I guess.
Hamilton cheap DPP similar to the above, Mo Rioli with a better score but a link.
Carroll's 95 is attractive, does it continue?
McComb's price is nice, but no DPP and I have a lot of Dogs already (might add another back in this week).
Strndica... 102k playing ruck?!
Curtis feels a bit meh vs. the others.

Is Strnadica a lock to play when Bailey Williams is back? Any Eagles fans be able to shed any light on how long Williams is out for & whether he'll push Strnadica out when he does return?

Believe the Williams injury was minor, not even listed on the injury list. He has been disappointing when he has played this year, no real improvement from last year. I would have Strnadica ahead of him - even though at this level he will struggle in the ruck contests, he is mobile around the ground/ has decent skills & has some footy nous which is a step up from Williams

You aren't losing those points if you bring in a Mills type. I am simply opting for SHayes/Mills over Berry/Gawn onfield plus better cash gen.
I dont think Carroll is no certainty to get named this week, McComb has poor JS, Curtis is a slow burn but should play every week. Clark looked exciting and he would come in for NoD next week, perhaps along with Rioli for Dixon.
Zorko said his surgery in the o***eason was similar to his one on the other Achilles in 2020, in that season his scores were very up and down, is that going to happen this year or is he going to stabilise. He’s also volatile from the get go. Has a lot of upside but he’s old and those poor scores scare me a little bit.

No chance of Carroll getting dropped this week after that debut, he was in the best most weeks in the Reserves before he came in too.
Cottrell, Newnes would have to go out first.

I guess I'm just concerned the Preuss/Hayes/Strnadica combo could lock you into no Gawn until after bye (he has West Coast after this week!) when Hayes/Strnadica have made enough to trade out. There really isn't much flexibility on that line.
I will miss Mills for now, but I will still be able to get Steele next week instead giving me an 8 of Macrae, Neale, Oliver, Steele, Miller, Petracca, Cripps & Greg Clark which should hopefully be strong enough in the short term whilst the 214 cycles out of Mills' rolling average.
I actually think Hayes' 94 against a weak West Coast midfield was the exception rather than the rule. He is basically a pure tap ruck that does minimal around the ground, so i expect he will still score 50-80 most weeks like most of our other rookies.
Very curious to see whether non-owners are looking at this week as the opportunity to grab him for an *ok* price.
Rachele/Dixon/Horne > Curtis/Gawn/McComb is possible with just $1,300 leftover. A sign from above? O'Driz > Clark looks straight forward next week with a defensive upgrade as well.
He was overpriced last week although bound to have a big score on the weekend so I could see the appeal. But that ship has definitely sailed now and I'm sure he'll be closer to $600k at some point with Jackson to come back. Just got to ride it out now.
