2 x def upgrades over the next 2 weeks, have to use a boost this week to get Short in (even though I don't like picking Tigers) cos the planets didn't align with scores or BE's. Stewart would be handy with his bye but his price puts me off plus I've missed his big score of the season (Short too) and I see him reverting to a 105 average, so I might take Zorks as a POD because of his ability to go large but that's a week away and a week is a long time in SC.
*Edit......was going to bring in McComb but don't see him lasting so I think I'll go early on Clarke and Carrol who I think will be best 22 going forward, gives me a week to look at Hamilton as a potential Ward downgrade.
Too early to be getting rid of Daicos for these ins?
Leaves 800 bucks in the kitty.
NOD D8
Green, Rowell, Clark D6 D7 D8
Preuss R2 (English out)
N Martin F6.

Nah Daics will probably get a rest soon, so he's fine to trade! Zorko is a risk given his achilles could snap at any minute, but he is good value if he can stay fit. Dawson won't score as well, but I'd probably slightly prefer him given the lesser injury risk.

Probably early - but do what you think is best. NOD has a pretty easy draw over the next few weeks, so might be ok.
Zorko a tough call - I can't see myself picking him. Think there's so many other consistent scorers down back with a higher ceiling this year that I think Zorko probably finishes at about 15-20th overall down back. Annoying, but I'd wait a week or two and find another downgrade option to hit someone else down back that's more likely to be the top 10 back you're hoping for.

Still early to be taking the educated gambles I think. If you're really looking to jump up I'd look at prepping your team for the byes - can leap a bit those weeks with the right set up taking advantage of most people who play for league wins.
Anyone tempted by Ollie Wines? Didn't realise how cheap he'd got and doesn't look like he'll rise too much for the next few weeks.
Would be relying on port and him to come good for the second half of the year, but at a smidge over $500k he's looking like a good M8 option to me.
@Rumbler
Now is the time to present me with a compelling case for Goldstein and Stewart instead of Gawn and rookie, to ensure Gawn continues on his merry way to another 125+ season average.
Hahaha! I mean that's simple...with Goldy and Stewart you get 2 premiums with proven scoring history instead of just 1 with Gawn.
Stewart on his way to potentially becoming highest scoring defender of the season, and one of the few players in the Geelong team which won't have his role changed by that muppet Chris Scott.
Goldy solo rucking for the next few weeks and presents big value at ~415k. There's no guarantee Xerri will come back straight away and take back most of the rucking either. Worst case scenario if you need to trade Goldy out later is at least he will increase in price so you could easily side-swap him to someone like English. DPP status helps too!
With all that being said...it's still a hard decision considering Gawn is back in solid form! Good luck whichever way you go!!

With all news coming out might change it up but current thinking is -
Berry and Daicos > Cripps and Clark with 300k in the bank, which means could boost jhf to Sicily or such in the back line.
leaves just Clark, Martin and Dixon on field rookies
I feel like Parker represents solid value as a forward even at his current price.
One of Daicos or NOD has to go this week. I've gone with NOD but could also change it later to Daicos to bank the extra cash.
McComb and Curtis give some good cash gen but does anyone know what their JS is like?
I would've traded McCartin out instead of Dixon but I've got no one else to shift to in defence and we don't have any decent defence rookies to downgrade to! I'm keeping McCartin and hopefully he can get at least 50 this week before I move him on next week.
Noticed that of the most likely current trade in rookies - Clark, Carroll, MComb, Rioli, Hamilton that three of them have the Rd 12 bye which is a bit of a pain. Would have been nice that just as they reached max cash you trade out during rds 13 and 14 to upgrade to rd 12 premos.
I actually think Hayes' 94 against a weak West Coast midfield was the exception rather than the rule. He is basically a pure tap ruck that does minimal around the ground, so i expect he will still score 50-80 most weeks like most of our other rookies.
I said this at the time when people were saying how good of a rookie he will be and playing him at R2 without a second thought, when you do next to nothing around the ground you're going to have a pretty bad floor as an inexperienced Ruckman.
