Stewart week for me

Sicily will wreck Essendon. But I guess its not about 1 week. Ideally I'll have both in my "final" team.

Yeah true, i mean im not after Moores/Parkers points really, its just more so the consistency and value

Stewart - proven gun
Crisp - 107 5 round avg, very dependable & durable - hasn't missed a game in 7 years.

Im waiting for someone to eventually jinx Crisp, seems everytime someone says his game consistenty is so good i just brace myself for the unexpected 🤣

Every completed side is going to look very similiar.

Yep, that is the problem with 35 trades, players are happy to use a trade to turn a underperforming premium to a hot premium, if they keep 35 trades next year will consider not playing anymore.

The only advantage is competing your side a week or two before the masses and plan your byes.

This post basically just made me consider a 30 trade game but with the boosts intact. Now that would be interesting...

2 of 3 - Stewart, English or Parker, who do you pick (assuming English playing).

Stewart - after this week will be out of range for a long while. Daicos can maintain position potentially although may soften on price.

English - assuming plays, has easy run and replaces Hayes on field.

Parker - after this week getting fair to above price. Hard run coming, likely top3 yet current forwards doing ok job. would replace a mid like JHF for now though.

I reckon we'll see the outcome of the extra trades at the other end of the season - people who are trigger happy at the beginning will still be short trades when the late season carnage happens.

Ah come on. Are you really in it for the 50k? Or just for some fun? Honesty there are far more important things in life than SC, just enjoy it for what it this.

Depends what you count as fun, I like a challenge, I like if you pick someone you keep them, makes the decision to trade a hard decision. It is the reason I don’t play DT anymore no thought needed with the million trades.

It is the same reason I love the Dark Souls series, it’s ****ing hard. But each to their own I guess.

Yeah agree English will become very important later in the year with his R/F link

Dixon to Clark ( via Martin fwd)….. you don’t have the fwd/ruck loop anyway
JHF to premium defender target via NOD…..
or NOD up to Sicily or Lloyd….

Doesn't seem to be a hell of a lot of value or consistency outside the top 8 or so players on any line this year.

Forwards yeah, I can see them being similar provided people can afford a dpp Bont and Parker. Otherwise a bit of variability in F5 onwards. Rucks same Gawn Darcy/Preuss.
Mids, big 4, Cripps Tracca Neale with a bit of variation at M8. Yep it’s going to be slim pickings for advantage. But defence is wide open. And I love it. I can’t pick a top 6, not even close. Seriously options abound, especially as it’s not free to switch out of Ridley et Al types. I think there is some hope of an interesting final series with defence leading the way.

I’m looking at Berry and JHF to Cripps and Clark. Still leaves a premo spot in Mid to fill.

Any arguments for getting a rookie off field in Def instead? Feel ok with Daicos and someone from McCartin/dk/NOD if I need to. Would go Zorko or Pendles I think.

Very true, it's an interesting season. I think M8 and R2 are where we will see the most variety, and to a lesser extent D6, M7 and F6. Need to nail the tail ends this year.

You can swing most of them to the midfield with DPP. I don't see the issue with loading up one line with the same bye players as long as your whole team isn't too stacked.

Only if you have enough corresponding DPP's sitting in your Midfield!!!!

Clark seems like he's a no brainer in next week, a bit more of a brainer this week I guess.
Hamilton cheap DPP similar to the above, Mo Rioli with a better score but a link.
Carroll's 95 is attractive, does it continue?
McComb's price is nice, but no DPP and I have a lot of Dogs already (might add another back in this week).

Curtis feels a bit meh vs. the others.

With the opportunity to downgrade moreso in the mids & forwards next week, I'll be looking to double upgrade in the defenders this weekend.

If you could pick any two defenders to grab other than Witherden, Hewett, Short & Ridley (regardless of cost) who would they be and why?

At the moment, Crisp for durability and Docherty for value given his average.

Personally dont think Daicos and NOD or Paddy down back is that big of a deal, Id rather finish other areas first and not cop 40's.

Agree, forward rookies are weaker. Luke Parker looks the obvious choice.
