Was played as an exclusive lockdown defender and not taking many kick ins in the pre-season games, his coach deceived pre-season watchers.

18 kicks, 7 marks, 0 handbells... feck. 94% TOG and DE.

Could end up No.1 or 2 SC Def. I had him in my team too, but went Ridley and Whitfield instead.
Was going to bring him in this week, too.
Idiot.
Might be just me, but the ones you miss, make you more annoyed than the ones you get right make you happy.

These are the reasons i should have listened to my gut about
Should have gone Sicily over Whitfield to start
Should have done English/Witts combo to start
Green/Lippa instead of Rowell

Not really, no one would have picked Callum Mills last season had he not played in the midfield in the preseason for example nor would have they picked Hewett if he was deployed as a defender or defensive forward this pre-season.

On the flip side. How many coaches have picked a player based on their good preseason role or just looking like a break out contender in general and then said player reverts to their norm come the season proper. I seem to recall reading about these kinds of situations many, many times over the years on forums.

How many coaches have picked a player based on their good preseason role or just looking like a break out contender in general and then said player reverts to their norm come the season proper. I seem to recall reading about these kinds of situations many, many times over the years on forums.

It's risky but usually you would expect during the last pre-season game the role and basically the lineup going into round one.
