14 / 1629. (Neale.)

Solid performance from most of my team.
McCartin was acceptable replacing Pendles with his late out.
Nic Martin just could not find his mojo, although most of his Bomber team mates were the same. Grrrrrr........

Witts, Brodie, Green, Pruess, Coniglio, Whitfield, Cripps and Clarry to play.
Projected - 2476. Ha, cracks me up, highly doubtful. :)

Great score this week @Creeker…

Clarry C, Cogs, Preuss, Cripps, Brayshaw, Miller, Brodie, Hewett to come.

Everyone fairly solid really, Steele and Hayes the only fails, maybe Jayden Short's 88 but it's not hurting in context.

Gotta move on Hayes from R2 this week for a premium (any premium) somewhere via Goldy and DPPs.

Steele pinches a little & rookies (Martin, Daicos & De Koning) scored as could be expected. Pretty busy Sunday coming up:

Miller, Brodie, Darcy, Saad, Cripps, Preuss, Green, Coniglio, Witherden & Captain Oliver.

Will be happy with anything around 2,400.

Josh Kennedy in real doubt with a knee issue, Dixon will be the one to replace him if a late change - don’t use Dixon as your capt loophole 😉
Good to see if Dixon gets a game, not sure I wanted him playing Melb though.

Looking around the leagues, projected score above 2300 looks solid (as at Sunday morning), plenty of top end teams either side. Can see one projected above 2500.

Feels like it is tightening up in score variation as less than a few rookies on field, PODs will drive it over next few weeks then bye planning. With teams completed earlier this year, targeting top end players should be a better dividend post byes, rather than the last 25% of the fixture.

Nailing that next wave of rookies will be important, otherwise we will be reliant on the Hayes,Clark types. Quality typically falls away at this point in the year for decent rookies, hopefully a few more than normal played VFL/WAFL/SANFL/NEAFL and the odd gem to come through. Was make or break last year if you nailed Brambles and managed to monetise him.

Played: J Macrae and J Dunkley

Yet to play:
Saturday: J Short, Z Butters, I Heeney, L Parker, P McCartin (covering Pendlebury), D Zorko, L Neale (VC), N Martin, J Ridley
Sunday: T Miller, W Brodie, S Darcy (new recruit) J Kelly, L Whitfield, B Preuss, S Coniglio, P Cripps, G Hewett, C Oliver (C) and G Clark (new recruit)

Very disappointing for Pendlebury to be a late out with Crisp, Sicily and Dawson all under heavy consideration last round but still plenty of time for him to compensate for his brief absence and McCartin should be great cover this round. Fixtures once again not friendly in the rucks as it is unlikely I bank a score from S Hayes using J Hayes given there are a lack of downgrade options in the position, I do not possess a ruck/forward and most of my other rookies are not currently ready to be traded which explains the need for Darcy.

Elected to bank the 75 from Hobbs and push debutant G Clark to the bench. Very happy with McCartin as coverage for Pendlebury as well as most non rookie players scoring 100+ with J Short the lowest so far at 88. Initially had planned on keeping N Martin for as long as possible as a F7/M9 to loop with the likes of Z Butters, etc but looking at my bye situation, I might be better served to flick him to Laird next round via the downgrade of De Koning to Khamis/Thompson/etc leaving G Clark and B Hobbs to be looped as the last rookie on field at M8.

Very glad I looped Rioli then, and fielded McCartin. Also glad Hayes was average, if that makes sense, coz I could have brought his score onto the ground.

oliver vs Gawn as C?
I gave advice on something similar last week based on the evidence on hand at the time which was Gawn at that time, which turned out to be dreadfull advice, lol.

Given Gawn's I injury scare during the week I think I would go Clarry.

Hindsight says, I should have taken Oliver/Gawn over Neale last night 🤔

Not clear yet… fingers crossed, Clarry worked for me last week. Back to the scene of their triumph, this week. I can't see them taking the foot off the throttle.

Has there been any further whispers re a late Hewett out? I’m hoping he is good to play, but I thought there may have still been a bit of doubt. Any confirmation one way or the other would be appreciated. Thanks
