Ouch!

I was doing that with Krunal for a while.

One thing I increasingly value is some sort of predictability - some rhyme or reason - to a player’s scoring. I don’t mind if a player is up and down, if I know what typically drives the volatility (eg batting first, the absence of another player giving them extra overs, etc), I can take advantage of that with loops etc.

The up-and-down results with no identifiable reason are the ones that I find most frustrating, because you can end up getting headfaked into taking the bad ones and benching the good ones!

Out of interest, how many of you (1) watch meaningful amounts of play, or (2) read the online ball-by-ball commentary?

It occurred to me recently that I generally do neither, but there’s good info to be had in the latter (with knowledge of mi****s, well-timed shots, lucky catches/dropped catches etc helping to delineate form vs luck more readily).

I watch the 1st innings on and off, falling asleep during some play. But you're right the commentary is pretty useful and possibly 1 ball ahead than the Fox coverage
