Trade in of Alex Johnston saving an awful round so far.

I have 10 for RD17, with a possible 2 more.

If Anderson plays a 3rd game RD16/17, I may grab him, and possibly Talakai & Johnston, leaving me with only 5 for the trip home, and still wanting...

Holding trades for me this week. 14 left, 8-9 for 17 pending Hynes and sitting 189th. Good chance to have a go at top 100, but want top 1000 after a few lean years. Side is:

Benching AJ is a bit of a risk but I suspect a tight game tonight with tries coming through the middle and down the dragons left leaky edge.

With Aitken not named and not useful for RD17, would you consider trading? I can grab Johnston but requires Trbojevic to be downgraded to Peoples. Another alternative is Matterson with the downgrade target to be CTW rookie G Anderson (Storm). Not bothered about conserving trades.

I wouldn’t trade in Johnston purely because he’s reliant on tries, and whilst the bunnies draw is good short term their last 6 rounds is the worst in the competition. He’s one you’d have to trade out and with 11 trades my recommendation is to target the best full season keepers.

I think Aitken to Matterson is a cracking trade but would advise waiting a week. You’ve already got a strong 17 this week and waiting should allow Matterson to drop a bit of cash, and ensure your downgrade is to the best cheapie available. In addition, with rep round next weekend a large chunk of our players have 2 potential games to get injured/suspended in before the next supercoach week. It’s a fantastic week to hold trades if your 17 is strong.
