I'm hugely ambivalent about this... huge part of me says YES Please!!! Another part of me says, get away from the messiah complex and work hard and follow through with the plan you've set in place like Hawthorn did with Clarko. (I know your post was tongue in cheek btw.) Essendon love another quick fix, and the current one has now blown out 15 years.
If he knocks back the Giants , not sure if the Kangaroos offer him enough "appeal" it will either be Windy Hill or Alberton.

I think I’m about to trade in Benny Keays……. Lord have mercy on my soul 😂
Do you have a spare $13,000 to grab Steele instead, as the disposal efficiency and kicking efficiency of Keays limits his ceiling given he ranks below average in both of those categories in comparison to the other premium midfielders. The elite tackle averages of Steele can compensate for his low disposal games and therefore is not as reliant as Keays on reaching that 30 odd range to score around 120+.

Hmm yes, you make a good point. Keays seems to have a brilliant ability to rack up the possessions this year, even if his disposal by foot isn’t always the best, but I think he’s been slowly improving that especially compared to last year. He's managed 13 tons from 15 matches, so even if he hasn’t racked up massive scores all the time his bottom end is quite high in a SC sense so I think it’s worth a punt at $530k.

I also have one mid spot left to fill next week when I can downgrade De Koning for the sweet, sweet cash and bring in one of probably Steele, Touk Touk or Brayshaw.

He'll get punished by getting a ton of frees next week, it's Selwood, toughest to ever play the game with the head ducking, collapsing of the knees and wild and dangerous kicking in danger.
