The NBL fantasy experiment is over I think. There is no joy to be had here.

Still less than a third of the way through the season given there are twelve and a half rounds remaining, so it might pay to wait a while longer for a larger sample size to form this conclusion.

What were your expectations heading into the season and if more favourable results went your way to this point, would you be more willing to continue the experiment or would there be no noticeable difference?

On the contrary I would have thought nearly a third of a season is quite a large sample. Particularly because every round has been pretty much the same…terrible. No ups and downs, just downs.

I had no expectations. With no SC Racing this year I thought it would be a bit of fun. It isn’t. All I want is my fair share of good luck and that just doesn’t seem to happen.

Of course if was getting better results it would be because my players are scoring better and it would be more fun. Don’t really understand your point here.

Finally the restriction on moving DPPs around when trading is a silly and a real negative in my view and has compromised my trades on more than 1 occasion. It prevented me getting Deng from Illawarra who has done really well since and this week it meant I couldn’t get Brantley on court when that was my preference.

Anyway lets see what punches I have to absorb for the rest of this round but I am already no chance in this weeks match up after 3 games.

If you don't mind basketball, the NBA comp may be more suitable? I think it has one of the kinder formats, as most players have 3-4 games per week, one down game doesn't hurt your score as much. Far better handling of DPP's too by the sound of it (I haven't tried NBL to compare).

A bit like you though, I'm yet to have a good round this year. Yes, it is only up to Rd 3 - probably like a few others I've copped some hits this week, so expecting I have a 3rd bad week in a row. It's still an enjoyable format. Plenty of good coaches here to learn from or challenge depending on your experience and knowledge, and lots of useful knowledge shared.

This game can be brutal, and luck plays such a huge part... as it does in all these fantasy games.

Tucker's game is so annoying and especially after just trading him in this week and with his great recent form... copped the same last week after trading in Randall and him stinking it up. Only consolation is both where extremely highly owned. Think Randall was the 3rd most popular player last week, and Tucker is currently the 5th highest owned player so most serious coaches would own them.

I actually traded Pinder out this week after 2 poor weeks of scores... So not happy to see him go well but I did trade him to Cotton who I captained over XRM this week after reading the article this week about Dean Vickerman saying XRM is going to have to make big changes to his game now Ili is back.

Just gotta keep plugging away and hope things turn.
