Any further information on Hurricanes internationals and their availability? How many games is Neesham expected to play/who he is covering for?

There was a Sixers vs Thunder game. I'm not comfortable passing on that much info from the SC Playbook WhatsApp discussions as it is subscriber only. The subscription is $30 for the season and good value I believe.
Just a friendly reminder to all.
Promoting rival sites, that may lead to decreased traffic on our site, is not something we usually allow.
These posts about SC Pbook, have probably gone over what we usually permit, when it is all promotion, and no sharing of info, with the relevant credit given where it is due.

If Sams misses round 1 I don't think I'll bother getting him in for round 2 with Thunder having their bye in round 3. Anyone else thoughts?
I would likely still get him, so long as we know he is fit at that stage.

If he had a DGR mid season and a bye thereafter, he would likely be my #1 trade in target (as the Thunder’s best player). I’d be okay trading him straight back out, because his high price helps generate a lot of cash to fund the next batch of DGR ins.

It does seem a bit underwhelming to not be able to take advantage of his R1 double, but I’m not sure that should change the thought process materially (it’s a sunk cost by R2).

Cricket.com.au had a article outlining the OS players and availability.

Neesham is replacement for Faheem Ashraf
Crawley is for Shadab (when he leaves)

Neesham has a SA 20 contract

Interesting one , because he is a potential Top 10 player.

Preliminary planning I would probably have to move him in on Round 5 to afford Abbott , K Richardson types

So :-

Round 2 - 2 games
Round 3 - Bye
Round 4 - 1 game
Round 5 - trade out

Or do you just factor in a Scorcher to get that extra game in Round 3 ?

Would maybe need to find a "extra" player to trade out (maybe Sangha) so possibly using a boost as well

Surely it is only for promotional purposes and they don't actually have signed him to play
I seriously doubt he is in their squad, as it's not the usual new signing announcement type post.

I still think they should have 1-2 spots at each club reserved for players from associate nations. Even if they don't play, at least they would get to train with some much more experienced players and improve that way. Would be a huge boost for them and would help develop the game. Can't see it happening.

He did nominate himself for the draft , not sure if CA accepted it or not 😀

Totally agree some serious talent playing for Ireland , Namibia , Netherlands , Scotland & Zimbabwe etc that continually get overlooked.

Exactly just sitting in the dressing room and training would be massive benefit.

Think the Renegades had a PNG player years ago on their list , Siaka from memory , Mire from Zimbabwe was involved another season.

Has anybody considered Joe Clarke as the set and forget keeper? DGR first up, bye round 2 which is perfect to get the Inglis/Gilkes duo on field, then back on field round 3 with no more byes for the rest of the year and another DGR to come
He has been in my team for a while . Last innings sealed it ,he didn't score a lot but cracked a few brilliant sixers NDD

Illawarra Mercury article (can't access it in full) saying Nikitaras has a contract with the Thunder.

Honeyball mentioning Ollie Davies brother , Joel

Jono Cook been mentioned , possibly Nair.

Maybe they just announce it when they check who board's the team bus 😀

Hopefully all these players actually get added to the competition before it starts.
