I'm surprised Hosein is in only 1.3% of teams.
His recent results have been good.
Abu Dhabi T10: 8 innings - 15 overs - 10/93 - 6.20 ER
WI T20 2022: 6 innings - 24 overs - 9/150 - 6.25 ER
WI T20 2021: 11 innings - 42 overs - 13/207 - 4.92 ER

Came down to picking one of those 100k guys on a double or Hosein, structurally it just didnt make sense to pick him over them, always thought hed be a better selection than the price suggested though, albeit the Heat are rubbish and tougher tests will be ahead.

Seems a lot of people here had (quite reasonably) preferred the known quantity in Mujeeb (or Swepson if playing the schedule a bit more) - but they haven't been huge wicket taking threats over the journey. Hosein also a much better batter and fielder than both which is a handy tiebreaker.

I saw him bowl the other day and thought this guy needs to be in my team.

After about trying 3-4 others, I settled on Naveed for the spot.

He should have been in the Windies side

Agree, although I'm not sure Hosein ends up being a big wicket taker. In Australia I'd take a wrist spinner over a finger spinner.

He was in my thinking, but ended up plonking for a Heat player, to prepare for Round 3.

My last bowling choice came down to either a future DGR player or a money-maker
I decided to go for a money-maker and as I like going with "unknown" OS bowlers the choice was between Hosein and Naveed.
I went with Hosein for a couple of reasons: recent form; age - 29 v 19; experience - as far as I could find out Naveed has almost no non-Afghanistan experience.
