I guess we become too attached to everyone and everyone.

Starting price is/was obviously a attraction , if he gets back to a 45-55 PPG player is he a season keeper or can we trade him out to a similar priced player that can score at a similar output.

Probably need to pull the reins in and wait and see what the Thunder do tonight , depending on scores could be some worrying BE's that need to be dealt with.

Yeah in my current planning I have him becoming Hosein, try to ride that cash gen and well as get ahead of round 5. Nothing against Zampa and think he's a gun.. but might need to be ruthless! Especially as the other options are trading out ST players when they are on a DGR...

Think I was settled on Jhye , Faf and donut this round but if I use Zampa as "insurance" for Jhye I won't be able to have a donut as I am carrying Stoinis & Webster on my bat bench.

Might need to look for a value MR/SS bat instead.

Be interesting to see how many trade in Hosein.

I’m so conflicted on the Richo situation.

I currently have Agar sitting on my bench but I’m not sure if I should swap him for Richo

It’s either Agar who will bowl 4 overs every game and is a very competent batsman VS Richo (one of the premier players in the league) who is under a large injury cloud BUT he could be the cheapest he’s gonna be all season

I could see a world where Richo scores as much in 1 game as Agar does in 2 tbh

Thinking of just skipping Wade and playing Gilkes now and build for Scorchers. Interesting you could actually loop Scorchers next round with Short of Rashid, Lyth in BAT Hardie in BWL.

Currently I have Wade as playing keeper to ignore Gilkes scores and moved ingilis to playing bat to take Webster scores. Saw punter’s comment that darcy short is all set to open and predicting a huge season.. now thinking should I swap ingilis back to playing keeper and take gilkes scores and swap Wade to darcy short. Alongside shadab, will dooley be the 2nd spinner or darcy will roll his arm around is the question. Any thoughts?

Webster is on 73 already , how much do you expect Short to beat that by ?

And Gilkes is on 0 , so I guess you need to factor his second score in as well

Interestingly just caught up with a mate who went to the Hurricanes season launch, Ponting told him Shadab will bat at 4, but wait and see if that’s true I guess

I feel like the talk of Richardson being the cheapest he'll be all season is a bit exaggerated.. He has had plenty of poor scores.. 2020/21 he had 7/16 scores of 37 or less, and in 2019/20 he had 4/11 of 40 or less and only 3 above 61.

Undoubtedly has a high ceiling but I don't think he'll be unattainable, especially as after the game at OS he has one at UTAS where he averages 38.5 and then at Junction Oval which from the looks of the practice game has some extremely small boundaries (if memory serves).

Absolute star but hasn't played in 6 games and still has soreness after that long off.. I reckon you'll be able to get him once he is definitely fit but I think there is enough there to fade him. You never know, he could score 40, miss game 2, and plummet in price!
