I doubt Cadman will end up being very unique as the #1 draft pick once the general public start entering teams. Depends how many cheap forward options end up being named Rd 1, but I think some of those being selected now might not play Rd 1 based on history, and I expect the Giants would play Cadman straight away.

Could be wrong. Always good to start by picking the expensive rookies and then drop down later if a cheaper option turns up.

Both could surprise. Have the capacity to average 115.
I think Smith was within a whisker of getting F status as well. I guess someone has to play a bit more forward with Dunkley’s departure?

A quick scan.
Bruce, Mclean, King.

Certain starters and all under 200k

Parish is an interesting pick - what are you thinking on him?
Good question, I had Walsh in my side over him until news about a back injury.

I just think if he’s healthy he can go 115-120, has two years of scoring very well playing in the midfield and was in great form til he hurt his calf vs blues this year

He’s not my most locked player but I like him at that price, believe he’s a 115-120 avg player healthy playing midfield. Think his average was 120 after moving to the midfield in 2021

That all seems reasonable. The main thing that sprung to mind for me was the change of coach and the risk that can create, although I’m sure you’re across that (especially as an Essendon fan). He does seem like someone who is priced 5-10 points cheap and could be a top scorer if things do go his way.

I think the new coach could change some things but I don’t really see anything impacting his game too much. He’s a pure on baller who finds heaps of the footy

I suspect you are right. I think Scott said something about wanting to play players in their best positions, although I’ve never heard a coach say that they wouldn’t do that!

Grundy is an interesting “watch” for me. A Dee’s supporter mate of mine reckons he has heard from a sneaky source that Grundy will be #1 Ruck with Max drifting back behind the ball. Time will tell, but worth keeping an eye on developments at demon land 👀
I think Grundy is very much a part of the plan to extend captain Gawns career.

My absolute first draft; much more midpricer heavy than usual for me. Looking at it now I'm probably going to make quite a few changes to both personnel and structure. I'm definitely not sold on a lot of midpriced options that I've picked. The next absolute top priced players I'd want are Dawson, Bont and Walsh. For the Rucks I'm thinking 2/3 of English, Darcy and Marshall. Moore could be any one of plethora of picks up forward and similarly, Hawthorn's CBA structure could be a gold mine. Rookies are just thrown in randomly.
