Agars effort last night has me seriously considering taking the c off of Clarke for Short, Lynn or perma captain RK19.
I understand that Agar was disappointing last night, but I think that's a big call.

Agar is already 89 ahead of any of those 3.

Lyn is a pure batsman so one mistake and he's gone, so he would be out of the reckoning IMO.

Short is a bit the same, facing Sams/Farooqi/Doggett/Green early would be enough to sway me away from him IMO.

Rashid is probably the only one I would consider, but unless you see him getting 3 or 3+ wickets he is still along way behind Agar.

No guts no glory, I guess, so its your call, but I the type of player I am would lead me to just take the 89 (as disappointing as it might be compared to JRicho).

89 still hard to do on a SGR
You are both right guys and logically that is probably the way to go.

Just showed why I am more reluctant than most to pick Agar and I only did this round for the double.

Calmer head will (most likely) prevail and see me keep his VC score.

Thanks for the responses.

Thoughts please.

I have 1 trade to go

Should I

A) Grab a Heat for T Rogers
B) Grab Thornton for Zampa

Bowling line up is:
Sams, Tye, JR, Farooqi, Zampa / Hosein, Naveed*

I would like B, knowing that I will be one less Heat for their double, one less Zampa, one extra non player for RD5 DGR. Still have Rogers.
But also, Thornton V Thunder at AO tonight, and Thornton in Brisbane in 3 nights. I'd also miss out on Naveed's 66, which I'm comfortable with doing.

Option A
Heat will be Neser if he is in the squad tonight, otherwise Bazly

I definitely would not advise trading Zampa > Thornton at the expense off Naveed's 66. Not worth the 70k "upgrade" given Zampa also has a negative B/E.

Option A by the length of Flemington straight

Anybody else going to be a Sydney Thunder supporter for one night only tonight?

Not only do I need them to score well for this round but I also need the three players I’m planning on trading out to score well enough to execute my desired trades for next round.

6 in play for me if there are no selection surprises.

Yeah me, I only have one AS player in play so I will be cheering hard for the 5 ST players I have (I already know one will be out, and could be more pending selection).

I guess the only silver lining on Sangha, is that his price may not drop as much as it would have if he played both games and failed in both?

Any advice here lads?

Update my Short trade to Rashid and only need to do 3 trades next week

Or leave Rashid and either need to boost next week, or risk Stoinis on field?

Only got to catch up on the round last night. Missed the lockout on game 1. Found that Bancroft didn’t play so get Gilkes score 🤮, VC Richo delivers the goods, traded Rossouw to Lyth but at least looped him for M.Short. Missed Hardie. 1105 with 6 to come. Swings and roundabouts round really.

I find it hard to see myself not using 4 trades with how this round has played out, Dooley and Naveed still have a hell of alot of money to generate I'm hesitant to miss out on those opportunities and you probably want at least 2 or 3 of Munro,Renshaw,Billings,Swepson,Neser,Bazley and Steketee as they all can score well on their day.

Yeah it’s looking like it might be 4 trades tbh. Naveed looks like he could be fielded on a SGR the way he’s looking atm, back to back 60’s. Neser and Swepson look bargains also, and probably want a 3rd Heat. Probably won’t grab Dooley tbh as already have Shadab and could leave me in strife come round 5

What do we think par is going to be for this round?
Most players are pretty heavily invested in ST players, so it is really hard to tell right now as a lot will depend on how they go in the second game of their double.

Any one that has JRicho C will be ahead of the pack, most of the rest of us will be heavily dependent on ST's performance tonight IMO.

Initial trade thoughts at this stage

Rossouw to Pierson
Farooqi to Naveed
Hales to Neser
Lyth to Bazley

Just 3 DGR’s. Would have liked Steketee but don’t think I can make it work
Really think I’d be getting Dooley over Naveed if you didn’t need to play on field. He’s gonna peak right in time for the Sixers gades double.
