I was thinking the same thing yesterday and came to the conclusion that it's due to timing and primetime tv. Doesn't matter who's playing at 7.40pm Friday, Saturday or Sunday that's when most people are more likely to be home on the couch..more to do with when games are scheduled rather than who's playing.
Nice Avatar, Nate.

Just repped you because you Avatar is soooooooooooooooo nice :)

I changed Wines for Koby Stevens before the lockout last season and ended up trading Stevens for Wines the next round, costing me about 70pts and a trade. Hence, I'd avoid late switches unless you're quite confident you're making the right choice.
Don't think just because its late its a bad choice though. Needs to be a balanced approach from both ways - same as trading throughout the season..

This may not be of interest to anyone but our resident statistician - but the upcoming Brisbane/Geelong match has more "J"s playing than I have ever seen. Let me explain, J.Redden, J.Brown, J.Rivers, J.Green, J.Kelly, J.Caddy, J.Selwood, J.Bartel, J.Patfull, J.Clarke, J.Adcock, and then on the bench - J.Aish, J.Crisp, J.Leslie, J.Paine, J.Shiringham, J.Murdock & J.Walker..

Must be SOME sort of record.

LOL, you're right that is a hell of a lot. Reminds me of the Australian cricket sides in recent years with all the H's, that always fascinated/bugged me.

I think half the Geelong list are J's haha.

EDIT: Just counted and 17/46 have first names beginning with J.

Just saw a nice tweet !

Knock knock.
Malthouse : Who's there ?
Owen.
Malthouse : Owen who ?
Owen two.

Love it - apologies to Oz and Grant, ha ha.
he he... I like it, even though my team is 0-2.
Funny stuff.
With Walker and Kruezer out of team it was never going to be easy to win but, if only for a couple of more straight shots at goal we would have won.
But we did not, so them the breaks and plenty of time for us to turn it around.
Happy to see Dylan Buckley and Troy Menzel have impact in last quarter.
Really annoyed at Warnock stupid lack of composure in backline. That is his whole issue. He can ruck, but not much else.
I would have traded him and kept Hampson if I could have , but the club made a different call on that one so hopefully he works well with Kruezer in long run in same team. Always felt Hampson paired with Kruezer would work better in longer run for mine. Hampson can pinch hit forward, Warnock never has been able to do ANYTHING other than ruck itself. Lets hope he gets brilliant at that one skill he has, because his weaknesses are hard to deal with as a Carlton fan on nights like last night.

Thank god the commentators don't say footballers first name, otherwise we won't know who has the ball.

Was a top game to watch, kicking for goal hurt you big time.
BTW Oz.
Q. What's the difference between Carlton and a square ?

A. A square has 4 points.

Sorry matey, couldn't resist. Have a feeling this could come back to haunt me at some stage though.

I dunno, but you'll probably find it in the 1999 Preliminary Final replay or maybe 2011 Elimination Final.

The answer to a question I never ask rarely interests me, unless it is a good question...lol..
This one does not fit within the domain of my universe so I'll leave it for you to discover your quest.
I suggest you ask William Bell. :)
