Reflecting on this, plus debating whether Rd 13 will be best 18 or 22, has shaped & will continue to shape my starting side.

Liam Jones has made his way into my side as I'm thinking he isn't a candidate for the sub vest despite his scoring ceiling not being the highest.
I did not know you got points for punching the ball, that's all Jones does.

Saw Josh Ward in a team a few pages up...
Been on the radar - averaged 80+ from his last 6 games including 3 above 90 and the potential is there.

Was hoping he would be M/F because I think a $300k+ mid needs to offer a bit more at this point (eg. Hopper).

I have never seen a definitive list of SC scoring. I think it gets tweaked on a regular basis. For example at one time (and it still may apply) you got points for a behind assist. Also for a shepherd. And you got points deducted for a dropped mark. In the case of a spoil the scoring varied at one time depending if the opposition got the ball or your team got the ball. The brief list of scoring examples listed on the SC website is only the very basics.

Welcome to the site.

We need to be careful throwing around labels such as "Super Premo". If you look at Cunnington's previous performance, he hasn't actually had any season at 110+, which is what I would call a Premo season for a mid. A great servent of our club, but SC wise I'd be steering clear.

I think people are going to be disappointed if they are expecting a going on 32 year old thats basically missed 2 whole seasons of footy to be a premium, and he really isn't cheap enough to be that great of a stepping stone, bit of a nothing pick for my liking but hell no doubt be popular if he stays fit.

He is progressing nicely, has joined the main group for certain parts of training over the last week. Club is just taking a cautious approach with him, he has been very diligent with his rehab.
A bit concerning though that 8 weeks or so out from the season... He is still sitting out match sim work and only doing minimal intense work.

I think he's a fair way off by the sounds of it.

I'm surprised I could afford something like this and have it end up halfway possible; granted the bench is very cheap but without any further knowledge this early in the preseason it could be something viable; that said I'm not sure I want to spend $600k+ on 3 defenders - but on the flipside, trying to predict a breakout is also fraught with risk

I don't think Finn Macrae has started running yet, had stress fractures in his back I think.

“It is unfortunate for Nathan Kreuger to have sustained an injury to his right shoulder after experiencing a setback with his left shoulder last year,” General Manager of Football Graham Wright said.

“Nathan underwent surgery last week and, at this stage, the aim is for him to be available within the first six rounds of the upcoming season.

“Fin Macrae has been working through a stress-related back issue and the plan is for him to be back running within the next couple of weeks.

“Darcy Moore is tracking well after suffering a bone infection and we are pleased to see him back running and re-integrated into the football program. Due to the nature of Darcy’s setback, we will continue to monitor his progress closely and will provide further updates in due course.”
