Sen1116 reporting that the nuf fs at Marvel were very slow closing the roof before rain fell onto the wicket, so they're not sure how the wicket plays early. Gades winning the toss and bowling might have been influenced by the roof debacle.
In fairness, I did look out the window in the Melbourne CBD today and was very surprised that it was raining. Seemed to come out of nowhere and I think it was still sunny. Other people commented on it too.
Equally, none of us are professional curators/venue operators.
Was surprised they didn’t throw CDG in ahead of Hose. He’d have seen a lot of wickets like this in NZ conditions. That said, they’re still going quite well.
