I don’t think this will shock anyone, but The Darkness’ list management team is happy to look at and suggest potential trades if other clubs are reviewing/preparing their lists for 2023.

The squad has plenty of depth, youth, high draft picks and salary cap space to be able to accommodate most needs.

I think I’m right in saying that the only thing it doesn’t include is the results of today’s rookie draft (eg Connor Blakely getting picked up by the Gold Coast):

Giants FC Announce List Changes

Goodie's Giants FC would like to thank James Rowe for his efforts and dedication to the club.

Rowe has been informed in the past 24 hours that his contract would not be renewed for next season as the Club finalises its list changes ahead of the 2023 SCSUL Preseason Draft and Free Agency period.

Rowe was drafted at Pick 41 in the 2021 Preseason Draft, and kicked 27 goals in his 36 games as a small forward.

“James was a popular member of our playing group, he was much-loved, hard-working and reliable."

The Giants currently hold Pick 8 in next years Preseason Draft.

Further list changes will be communicated accordingly across the preseason.

This is the cut-off point for team lists.

If players aren't on an AFL list after the AFL Draft they are delisted from SCSUL team lists.

If delisted players have back ended contracts then the difference in salary counts against that years salary cap.

Delisted players will go back into the SCSUL Draft if they are signed as Supplementary Player before our draft.

Completely understand the reasoning for the rules but I’m in a bit of an annoying situation as it seems Jed Anderson is going to GC via the SSP but he gets delisted for me in SCSUL given he wasn’t taken in the rookie draft…. presume the below article doesn’t change this? Would it be possible to have SSPs signed in 2022 captured as part of the rookie draft?

I normally have a draft AFL team by now, but have been more focused on the cricket this year.

Yes I've had a dabble, have only put together one normal SC side, which I quite liked to be honest haha.
And have spent some time updating my spreadsheets for both my keepers sides and just getting an idea in my head of where I'm at contract wise in UL to start to weigh up the variety of things that we need to at this time of year.

2023 Data has been added to the Team List Sheet. (last tab)

Player positions are therefore up dated. I still need to check our Ruck eligible players who we drafted as a Ruck.

Used 185 player prices from last season who play 20+ games and came up with a magic number of 5507.02. So, SCSUL Prices will be slightly less than the official SC prices.

After one of these rows, could we add a “players to draft” and/or “players” row to help us see how many players a team has in each year and how many open list spots? I had been calculating this manually but thought it might be relatively simple to add into the base spreadsheet?

I'd like to do the Draft Lottery this week, so that we can get trading going in February. I know a few are waiting on the final draft order before going ahead with trades. So, perhaps tomorrow night around 8pm AEDT

The Community Series seems to be on 2, 3, 4 and 5 of March. I'm assuming everyone will want to see that and the club arranged matches, on prior week, before undertaking the Pre-Season Drafts. So, Monday 6th to no later than the Monday 13th. I am open to doing portions of this earlier if that works for others.

I'll put a poll up for everyone to determine their availability during this period.
