Commiserations @Jordan’s Jets - you would’ve no doubt had me if the Blues didn’t rest Pittonet, I’m a bit fortunate to hang on!

My Essendon guys nearly lost me the matchup but lucky for me, my late season recruits were able to pick up the slack!

Well deserved win, don’t even think Pittonet would have saved me. Hopefully we get a rematch in a couple of weeks!

Never mind the nail-biter prelim, the Timelords have almost pulled off the darts equivalent of a 180 - the perfect Ocho!

7/8 players 100+ and the highest scorer as C. Who would have thought Darcy Parish would be be the one letting the team down as the only sub predicted score AND sub 100 score!!!!

…. I haven’t have I?
Wow … a scaling win in the prelim!!! Surely it can’t get any better than that.
Gee a one point win…? The drama of the SCSUL league continues (including the drama of your finals matchups with GG)

Incredibly unlucky to GG but all the best next week in the GF Jordan!

We both scored very similar this round as well!

Wow, that’s incredibly unlucky Tim! You did well to reach the prelim though, making a great late surge.

Good luck Jordan and Sho, hopefully the grand final is a tight one too!
Absolute heartbreak. Beyond flat. What a win from Jordy's boys, incredible comeback.

Pretty somber mood in at Giants HQ today. Mad Monday has been well and truly scrapped. We'll need a few days to take it in before celebrating the year that was I think. Haha

I was up in Sydney all weekend, was painful watching Lynch take contested marks for fun, I think I had seen him kick his first 7 before leaving the pub to head to the airport. A delayed flight meant that as I got off I was going to be greeted to final scores (and a message from Jordy :D:ROFLMAO:). Couldn't believe it, even though I had prepared myself for it. I had a horrible feeling things would not work out well for me when my Freo players did next to nothing on Saturday night, and boy was I right, things went quickly down hill from there.

There's just something about big games between The Jets and The Giants.

We'll review the tapes, get around each other, regroup, and hopefully comeback stronger.

Good luck to The Rangers and The Jets next week in the big dance. Should be a ripping contest.

Grand Final Preview
It's fitting that the SCSUL |03 premiership comes down to a tussle between the two previous SCSUL premiers in 2021 winner Roppongian Rangers and the 2020 inaugural winner in Jordan's Jets FC.

Jordan's Jets FC spent the majority of the season atop of the competition ladder only losing 3 games in the regular season, whilst the Roppongian Rangers sat comfortably in a top 4 position throughout, ultimately finishing second on percentage. It was tougher for the Rangers this campaign losing five games to round 11. They finished strong losing only one more for the remainder of the season.

The Roppogian Rangers won both of their finals to get the rest last week, whilst the Jets did it the hard way losing their first final and then scrapping in by one point in last week's preliminary final. Falling on the right side of the last game's scaling.

Selection headaches?
  • The Rangers will welcome back Tim Kelly and Jake RIccardi for the out of form Hind and injured (concussion) Anderson. The Rangers will be hoping that Patrick Dangerfield gets through the pre game warm up after an injury scare last weekend.
  • The Jets with be sweating on the fitness of George Hewitt (Back), There could be some nervous out of form candidates awaiting selection. Will premiership hero Bayley Fritsch get the chance to be a dual premiership player? Could there be debutant selected for the big dance?
Key Matchups
  • The Midfield Battle: On paper, the Rangers' midfield look far too strong with a core group of elite superstars but the Jets could win this battle working together as a unit to pressure the Rangers. There have been cracks showing of late, and there will be nerves in the coaching box of the Rangers.
  • The Ruck Battle: The return of Ben McEvoy a few weeks ago gives the Rangers the advantage, though the combination of O'Brien and Pittonet could shine. Which Nankervis will show up for the Rangers?
  • Boom or Bust: The Jets will be looking to their forwards in Butters, Lynch and Dunkley to dazzle on the big stage.
Prediction: The Rangers to get it done by 74 pts as they carry their late season form to the premiership cup.

All the best of luck to @Bomber18 and @Jordan's Jets in the big one, and thanks to all for a great season.

All the best of luck Jordan!

Will be a close and exciting game, and by the end of it, we can safely say that we will have at least one two time premiership coach!

Thanks to Ken as well for another great season, can’t believe it’s already been three seasons since the inception!

Both sides with a forward subbed out … Stringer on 23, Lynch on 123.

Scaling has gone in Stringer’s favour - now up to 29 - but that’s a big advantage to the Jets.
My goodness Tom Lynch has turned it on for The Jets the throughout the finals. Especially these last two weeks!
