It's a big week for SCSUL Grand Final Runners Up, as 2021 Arcadia Timelords and 2020 Goodie's Giants FC fight for the right to contest the 2022 incarnation of the finals. Both have match ups that they are favoured to win, and if that eventuates, it will all come down to percentage.

Currently, the Timelords sit inside the five by 0.74%, after their big win against the Jabukanji Stingers, and the Giants loss to the Roppongian Rangers. As the teams swapped positions.

This is where it gets interesting, as on current predicted scores, it will be a nail biting finish, and likely to come down to the last minutes of Sunday football, with the Giants edging the Timelords.

All eyes will be on the injury report early in the week, and then final teams at the selection table, as both sides hope that key players will return just in time to take them to the 2022 SCSUL Finals.

Whatever the result, it will be a fitting conclusion to the third SCSUL season, and you can watch it live in the round 18 match centre.

THE OCHO: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY

Had a rough season? Think that wrenching pain is over? Heck no.

This year not making the finals means more humilation and embrassment lies ahead...............I mean, glory came still be yours during the next four weeks, as non finalists raise the spirits of the night series and it's gods, as they compete for the THE OCHO trophy.

As non finalists, they've all had to endure plenty of spanners in the works. But if you can dodge a spanner in the next four weeks then you can have ULTIMATE GLORY, of a kind, winning THE OCHO.

Each non finalist will field a team comprising:
2 Defenders
3 Mids
1 Ruck
2 Forwards
with a Captain* chosen each week.

There is no head to head. Total Points will be the decider.

Who will be the true underdog story of the season?

THE OCHO

* Your Captain can not be predicted to score more than 100

Love it!

Team entered but may change my mind of a couple of players in the next 23 hours. Really do need to think for this one!

I'll be cheering on Rozee for a great score and will then have to find a captain next week. (Actually, 140 or below means I can use him next week)

You'll be cheering on Dixon for the highest possible score which makes his projected score next week 100. (103 on analysis)

Neptune Knights with the Will Brodie 99. :) (105)

Well done @Goodie’s Guns on securing the win. You copped a bit of bad luck early on with injuries and low scores, so I thought I was a chance for a moment there, but it wasn’t to be! I suspect you’ll bounce back next week, and be hard to beat.

Hopefully my side will be better for the finals experience, although going out in the first week also means I’ve missed out on a chance at The Ocho … so I’ll be watching closely from the sidelines from here!

Thanks Darkie. You’re not wrong, my lads did everything they could to lose the contest haha. Was painful watching some of my blokes this weekend. Hopefully can regroup this week, and come together for the Creme matchup.

Hats off to your boys, a really impressive season and should only go from strength to strength.

PS it was finally good to get the chocolates against The Darkness ;) you always seem to have the wood over me haha
